Amazing how republicans find one or two people to agree with what Trump says and suddenly now... It goes from a couple black people saying he's right to "all black people say he's right"
He also said no human being would want to live in Cummings district. My brother lives in Cummings district and CHOSE to live there... Imagine that.
It's obvious to me that Donald Trump doesn't view anybody that thinks different than him as a human being. If anybody isn't human, it's Donald Trump.
I'll also say this... In the Philippines, there are a lot within the country view Duterte as cleaning up the streets, wanting to help people out of poverty. Except he is killing people extrajudicially which shouldn't be allowed. The entirety of Western democracy and all our rights are built upon innocent until proven guilty. I also think Western media portrayal of Duterte isn't fully accurate, because Duterte has implemented some programs that help impoverished people there.
That's why really... Until you've experienced a place, you've gotta be careful with people like Trump that paint with a broad brush and claim it's one way, then you go there and see the difference.
In the Philippines for example, the drug and alcohol problem there is a direct result of how many people are in poverty with zero options to get out, so rather than help people get out of poverty, they kill them. I went to an area that was supposed to be scary. I was treated with respect and kindness. The people there were salt of the earth. Anthony Bourdain was right when he said
If I'm an advocate for anything, it's to move. As far as you can, as much as you can. Across the ocean, or simply across the river. The extent to which you can walk in someone else's shoes or at least eat their food, it's a plus for everybody"
Donald Trump has always needed to get out of his ivory tower. He claims places are some way, but I can guarantee he never goes to these places. He just makes judgements from his golden tower.
