What's new

The official "let's impeach Trump" thread

Amazing how republicans find one or two people to agree with what Trump says and suddenly now... It goes from a couple black people saying he's right to "all black people say he's right"

He also said no human being would want to live in Cummings district. My brother lives in Cummings district and CHOSE to live there... Imagine that.

It's obvious to me that Donald Trump doesn't view anybody that thinks different than him as a human being. If anybody isn't human, it's Donald Trump.

I'll also say this... In the Philippines, there are a lot within the country view Duterte as cleaning up the streets, wanting to help people out of poverty. Except he is killing people extrajudicially which shouldn't be allowed. The entirety of Western democracy and all our rights are built upon innocent until proven guilty. I also think Western media portrayal of Duterte isn't fully accurate, because Duterte has implemented some programs that help impoverished people there.

That's why really... Until you've experienced a place, you've gotta be careful with people like Trump that paint with a broad brush and claim it's one way, then you go there and see the difference.

In the Philippines for example, the drug and alcohol problem there is a direct result of how many people are in poverty with zero options to get out, so rather than help people get out of poverty, they kill them. I went to an area that was supposed to be scary. I was treated with respect and kindness. The people there were salt of the earth. Anthony Bourdain was right when he said

If I'm an advocate for anything, it's to move. As far as you can, as much as you can. Across the ocean, or simply across the river. The extent to which you can walk in someone else's shoes or at least eat their food, it's a plus for everybody"

Donald Trump has always needed to get out of his ivory tower. He claims places are some way, but I can guarantee he never goes to these places. He just makes judgements from his golden tower.

How to Tell If a Trump Supporter Is Racist

https://townhall.com/columnists/den...-tell-if-a-trump-supporter-is-racist-n2550844

"Every non-liberal leftist -- that is, nearly every Democrat running for president, New York Times and Washington Post columnist, CNN and MSNBC host, and your left-wing brother-in-law -- labels every Trump supporter and, of course, President Donald Trump, a "racist."

And they don't stop there. Leftists don't only label the half of the country that supports the president "racist," they label all whites and America itself "racist." If your son or daughter attends or recently attended an American university, it is close to certain he or she was repeatedly told that America and all whites are racist. According to the left, whites are divided between those who admit they are racist and those who don't admit it.

Every conservative and many liberals know this is a big lie. The great question is: Do leftists believe it? It is impossible to know. But this we do know: If you repeat something often enough, and if your Weltanschauung (worldview) and that which gives your life meaning are dependent upon believing something, you will eventually believe it.

So here is a way to show it is a lie.

Ask any white conservative, including one who supports Trump, the following three questions:

1) Do you have more in common with, and are you personally more comfortable in the company of, a white leftist or a black conservative?

2) Would you rather have nine white leftists or nine black conservatives on the U.S. Supreme Court?

3) Would you rather your child marry a black Christian conservative or a white non-Christian liberal?

A white racist would prefer the whites in each case.

I have asked these questions of thousands of Trump supporters at lectures and on my radio show. Not once has a white Trump-supporting conservative said he or she would be more comfortable in the presence of a white leftist than a black conservative, or would prefer an all-white liberal Supreme Court to an all-black conservative Supreme Court. Not once has a white Christian conservative said he or she would prefer their child marry a white non-Christian liberal to a black Christian conservative."

Once again painting with a broad brush... I'm white... I've never been called a racist and the only person I really consider obviously racist on the right currently is Donald Trump, but of course they are gonna convince you that it's "everyone"

I'm gonna say the same thing that conservatives tell liberals. Put your biased media away... Go have a conversation with your liberal counterparts, or better yet, go have a conversation with your minority counterparts. You'll find out really quick how effective this making leftists out to be vermin is completely a product of your own biased media. Just as you claim all this racism stuff is the lefts biased media. The truth is somewhere in the middle, all leftists don't consider the right racist. However it is very curious when they support obvious racists like Donald Trump.

I pretty much stick directly to what Trump says in my criticism of him.

It really is amazing how conservatives don't see the bias in their own media while screaming, "stop reading biased media". Then their offerings are everything but unbiased, but ya know, in your own minds what you read and what Trump says are the sole beacon of truth. Anything that claims "all leftists" "all of this group" is obviously biased and you should probably throw whatever that article is saying in the garbage, because it wants to pull you further into your bias by making you believe everyone on the other side is your enemy.

There is no possible way you're biased too... :Eyeroll:

1) Do you have more in common with, and are you personally more comfortable in the company of, a white leftist or a black conservative?

I have more in common with the middle of these two. A black conservative or a white leftist... I don't really care what color they are. I disagree with leftists on some things and disagree with rightists on many things since Trump, I used to be a conservative until they started playing games like this article is playing. I think I would feel comfortable around either person so long as they can have a conversation and maintain respect, I do not judge people by their politics, I judge them by their morals. Currently your president is devoid of anything resembling morals, while you claim to be the part of strong morals.

2) Would you rather have nine white leftists or nine black conservatives on the U.S. Supreme Court? Once again this is pulling things to extremes. I don't care if people are liberal or conservative on the supreme Court, but they should have strong morals and a willingness to uphold laws based on the Constitution. You own biased media is trying to paint this as either/or, when it is not that way at all in reality.

3) Would you rather your child marry a black Christian conservative or a white non-Christian liberal?

That's up to my child to decide and I would be happy if they were happy. Go have a look at your own family, there is a massive mix of all of them in there. The right is focusing heavily on painting any left leaning person as "not American"

Agreed that Trump must go, the sooner the better. But I think that those of us that might consider voting 3rd party is because we believe that more fundamental changes are needed. The way I see it, for the past few election cycles the population has become more and more polarized. What would you make of that?
I like everything about this. But if you vote third party and trump gets re-elected you are part of the reason why.

truth Is that what each one of us does really doesn’t matter in the big picture. If one person dumps their garbage by a trail it is no big deal. If you are rude to one person you have no overall societal impact. If you drive 20 mph over the speed limit and get lucky no one is hurt. If you don’t vote it probably doesn’t matter.

If everyone did it, the environment would be a disaster, all social order would be lost, tens of thousands of people would die in crashes and we’d have a failed democracy.

If everyone has this “nothing I do matters” what a ****ed up world it would be.

That’s why we when grow up we develop a social conscience. To leave a better world for our kids.

Soapbox is now away.
