Nice optimistic article about William Howard

I did not realize he was an elderly 26 years old.
Yeah, if he is going to make it in the nba, it better be quick. He will not get a lot of second chances. Here is to hoping the homer glasses are accurate and he is a good bench piece on arrival.

This to singles that the Jazz think he is ready to contribute to the varsity now rather than later.

He doesnt turn 26 til late October.

He's a full year younger than Ingles and a year older than O'Neale when they each joined.

I'm really optimistic on the end of the bench guys this year.

Probably the most exciting group of "scrubs" the Jazz have ever had IMO.

I can see what each guy could theoretically bring if successful. Intriguing role player value there.

you weren't on board the Elijah Milsap train ??

Good point. But I think after the moderate success of Elijah and Christopher Johnson and the unbelievable success of Jingles and O’Neale, Jazz fans are WAY to excited about Howard, Kidd, and the second rounders (WG included.)

I’m sure other teams have successful players from the second round, but Jazz fans have been conditioned since the mid 90s to think we are good at finding late round talent (Russell, Anderson, Millsap, Matthews...)

I think there could be real value in picking up Euro players when they are at the peak of their career. Especially while we are pushing for a championship. No need to develop young guys. Get the guys that were borderline NBA players on draft night and have thrived for a few years in Europe and are ready to contribute.
