2019 Annual JazzFanz Current Players NBA Draft

Here is the exact phrasing I used in the OP:

You'll be drafting a team based on how you think they will do in the coming season. So, you probably don't want to pick Kevin Durant.

There's not a rule against picking them, and, hey, if you can convince the voters they're a good choice, more power to you. But when the general impression is that they'll be out for most of the year, you sure have your work cut out for you.

I need me a guy with jazz DNA. Someone who plays defense and is all about the team.

Give me my guy Derrick Favors. Now he gets to play his true position. He will be a much different player starting at center not playing backup minutes

There’s other centers I could’ve drafted, but Favors is IMO the best defender left and his offense is much better than we’ve seen with him deferring to Gobert.

Lol. I don’t know what Oladipo’s story is but I’ll think of him as healthy as he’s set to play more than half the season. Porzingis on the other hand has nothing rong with him. He’s not injured and will play game one assuming he doesn’t sustain an injury during training camp or pre season

Yep. He tore his acl 18 months ago. Nothing but favorable reports about rehab and he will be 100% day 1 in training camp. He’s added a lot of strength. I’ve got two inside outside 7 footers who are elite both offensively and defensively. No one will stop this team.

Bravo! You have my vote. I thought I was the only one left who thinks Favors will be a top 5ish center next year. All you disloyal fans who drafted Vuc, Adams, Capella, Gasol are fired for dissing DFav.
