The All-Time Utah Jazz Tease Team

Hey guis, before you post answers in this thread, please consult with Cy on the precise meaning of “tease”. If you have a problem with this, take it up with Jason.

Curtis Borchardt was supposed to be good and should be on this list, damnit. A shot-blocking center who liked to shoot.

The guy was so injury-prone he became a physical therapist: https://stridestrong.com/curtis-borchardt/
Damn, yes. I was excited about our potential lineup:

Lopez
Pavlovic
AK
??? (Really wanted Melvin Ely)
Borchardt

Damn. ALL of those guys are on the tease list.

I liked Sasha. It's funny to think he played until 2013 as it feels like he was yesterday's news 15 years ago.

Screw the Bobcats for stealing him from us in the expansion draft!

Not sure why Im the only one with Favors.
Easy, he played second fiddle to a future HOF. He would’ve been much better had Gobert never showed up. Don’t even mention the injuries because he bounced back from those.
We also don’t know what Favs would have done had he played the 5 full time and been the main roll guy the last couple years.

Tough for me to call him a tease.

Fes is the biggest tease in jazz history. That Lakers game where he got his first start, he dominated then quickly fell off the map.

No, screw KOC for leaving him exposed in the expansion draft and protecting Collins. They weren’t going to take Collins.

I couldn't locate a list of the protected Jazz players. Though it's neat Wallace and Zaza were selected; both had nice careers (Zaza just retired).

I was on a mission when it happened. I had left in February and had been following from afar. I knew they left Pavlovic exposed and knew they’d take him. I called an old guy who shuffled through the newspaper very slowly to read me the names of those selected. Sad day for me.

Kanter was a tease for me. He turned out to be a really good offensive player and rebounder, but everything else about him was terrible, including his personality.

When he left after his rookie season and we started seeing pictures like this it was like, WOW he really dropped a lot of weight and is looking ripped. Sad times enes-kanter-beast.jpeg

Ty Corbin (as a coach)
Carlos Arroyo’s performance in the Olympics
The dream of Brewer developing a jump shot (he over achieved for the Jazz though)
Wesley Matthews only being on the Jazz for a year :’(

That was very stupid on the part of KOC. I agree that they wouldn't have taken Collins, and if by chance they did, who cares?
