What's new

Following Potential 2021 Draftees

Actually... lemme correct myself...After further review Osasere Ighodaro is listed at 6'9" but actually its rather apparent he's taller than that... his standing reach is WAY over 9'

So, kinda quietly, Isaiah Todd is kinda being corrected back into the top-10 in the recent rankings updates. I really believe that his dips into the teens were really a formation of i guess attitude type of stuff.. His talent is and has always been upper echelon in this class. He;s just got that new-age stretch game down to a tee also.

also with the way Utah's roster is structured. This kid projects as an excellent fit here.

Jalen Suggs is another player who's been quietly correcting back into the top-10 too. Part of the reason why things have quieted down around him, is it seems to be widely believed he's going to Gonzaga..

funny to see BYU made Mady Sissoko's final list and not Utah after that incident. He's at MSU this weekend and is announcing on Thursday... Seems to bode well for the Spartans.

So now another big debates gonna be; Where does Terrence Clarke rank in the class of 2020? Let me be the first to say he's got a case at #1.... I'd probably have him #2 behind Cade Cunningham. I expect him to be ranked probably 3 or 4 but he represents the greatest perimeter scoring threat in the class now...
I'd say 3.. but think he should be 2.

Then of course if Jonathan Kuminga were to reclass to 2020 as well.. He would then take the top spot in the rankings, and there really shouldnt be any debate on that..... This draft, 2021, is gonna be a tank year for NBA teams. Handful of franchise players already surfaced...
Guessing Kuminga never plays in college.

Looking like UK and Askew.

Also Isaiah Jackson.. though I'm not super high on him.
quick aside; There's no way this Team USA squad loses 2 games if De'Aaron Fox was runnng the show...

Obviously would prefer Greg Brown. I'd imagine Isaiah Jackson would take to the strength and conditioning quite well tho. He needs to add 35lbs... Lance Ware is in! Sweet.

Guessing Kuminga never plays in college.

Yeah I'd imagine it would actually look something like when KD was in college, with opposing coaches complaining after each loss "why isnt this guy in the NBA?"

@Dr. Jones Seems like the big domino left is Bam's old buddy, Isaiah Todd. If you're running Todd at the 5 and Isaiah JAckson (or Greg Brown) at the 4, I think that bodes well for Jackson/Brown. I just dont see how they wouldnt end up soaring past defenses rim-running, and being able to snatch tons of boards.

Yeah, not many whispers about Todd.. my guess would be UK or KU.

“Terrence is arguably the most talented prospect we’ve had in our program at Brewster in the last 20 years,” Brewster coach Jason Smith told ZAGSBLOG.

D. Mitchell went there.

Guess the best way i can quickly dissect this is in 3 categories: The good, the bad and the ugly. I'll start with the ugly cuz y'all like a bloodbath.

The Ugly

Kuminga at #6 is terrible, what more is the kid supposed to do??
Dinko Badje at #11 and not as thje first international prospect listed is obscene, having usman garuba over him is even worse.
Roko Prajkin and Franz Wagner in the top-20 seems to me like their being HEAVY benefit of the doubt.Se
Keon Johnson at tennessee seems like a considerable reach to me in the lotto..
Daishan Nix at @17 is way too low. One of the premier Pgs in the field, and hes 6'5", hard to imagine a player like that dropping so far.
Tristan Enaura, Tre Mann and Sam Williamson outside of the 1st rd all seem to me like MAJOR oversights.
Ima finish up the ugly with just pointing out Greg Brown at #9... That is gonna end up looking stupid, hes not gonna fall that far..

The Bad

Terrence Clarke at #5, this seems to be near the consensus, I just think he might steal the show once the lights come on and make this look a bit foolish. ultra skilled.
Ochai Agbaji in the middle of the 2nd rd. On this type of outlook im just not sure why you'd be so low on this kid considering the flashes he showed.
Scottie Barnes at @26.. This kid has an ultimate swiss army knife skillset on the Draymond spectrum. Hard to see so many playoff teams passing.
Weiskamp middle of the 2nd rd. I'd bet on this kid outperforming, he's clutch and fits the modern prototype on the wing, primed for a monster season.
Way too many international players that seem project-y.. Its a theme and it just seems liek their beenfiting from small sample sizes.
Marjon Beauchamp(who we wont see) and Andrew Nembhard buried at the bottom fo the 2nd. Nembhard reminds me of Devin Harris.
Adam Miller in the 1st rd. This kid is impressive, excellent shooter, he's 6'3" though and not a PG.
Isiaah Mobley in the 1st rd seems a bit much..
Josh Christopher outside of the top20 seems crazy to me, what more does this kid have to do? Same can be said for Jalen Suggs but especially Christopher.
Isaac Okoro top25. I've always said I really liek this kid and he's been underrated nationally, i think this is just taking it too far at this stage. 1st rd defender for sure, we'll see how his offense fares.
Aleksej Pokusevski ---- This kid looks like he belongs in the first if ya ask me..... Fluid and long...

The Good

DJ Steward top20. This is a 4-star kid who should be rated 5. Duke commit. Will be my favorite Duke commit in many years. Very quick and can really shoot it.
Juhan Bergarinn in the lotto.. I havent seen this kid extensively but in the games and footage ive seen. Got a real good feeling bout this kid.
Mojave King -- I'd have him higher but i think hes trending towards the 1st. Australian SG who is a very good shooter, long arms.
Earl Timberlake top20. Probably higher than i'd have him. This is a 4-star kid ive been posting about for some time. He's legit. Fits the modern prototype.
Caleb Love in the lottery. a late riser in the class, he's establishing himself as a possible starting PG tho, for sure.
Ziaire Williams top5.... been hyping this kid in this thread since he was outside of the top50. legit 6'8" and his jumpshot is money!!

Juwan Howard pulls a major recruit in 5-star Isaiah Todd!!! That is a very good sign for Michigan fans. He's gonna showcase very well in college. Will put up bigtime stats.

Devin Askew to Kentucky! Even more perimeter firepower! The floorspacers are in place. Now to add some muscle and rim-protection and possibly the premier floor general in Cunningham.
