Let’s discuss Joe Ingles

Jebus... please don’t blasphemy the good name of joe ingles here... the basketball gods (of which Joe is the most powerful) will not take kindly.

I know right. He has a bad game against the 2nd best team in the world and everything good that he’s ever done goes down the drain. Come on Aussies you’re better than this. One year you’ll overcome our prowess.

Yeah let’s discuss Joe Ingles Laid a ****ing rotten egg in the most important game in Aussie basketball history. Slow lazy useless ****ing white South Australian ****. Go back to Adelaide you useless ****

I will roast you! You ****er! In hell fire!! Havent actually watched the game (was busy) couldnt actually bring myself to watch it when i got in last night.

Joe's had some good games in the tournament and some rough games...the same could be said of Rudy and Donovan. I really think people are making too much of it. He went 4/24 from 3 in the 2016 Olympics and went on to shoot 44% from 3 for the Jazz that season. He'll be fine.

What Joe needs is rest. He's not an 82 game / 30 mins starter. With Utah's depth, Joe needs to be restricted to 25 mins and maybe rested on the 2nd night of back-to-backs.

I think we have some real babies here... we are complaining about a guy having a sub par game in a league with different rules, a different ball, and different teammates... they are half way across the world and he’s been playing every couple days. To the Aussies killing him... stfu... at least he showed up (again) unlike Ben Kardashian who is too busy to show up and play.

The only thing that can beat Joe is if the evil AI overlords somehow manage to control Chuck Norris and even then Joe is a 2/1 favorite in Vegas...

Dude you can ride shotgun for me anytime.

Ingles is really starting to regress across the board. He doesn't shoot the ball when open. How long does it take him to learn.

If ingles form continues on this same path (end of last season to now in Fiba), he will be out of the league in no time.

While still effective at times, I also feel his defense is regressing from it's peak (he is getting slower than ever).

Really starting to look old and slow out there eveb against FIBA ball.

Whoever started this thread is thread is onto something.

Look, Joe is about to turn 32 in a couple weeks. Of course he's slower and regressing, all players are regressing somewhat after around 29, but he's still only 32 and has a lot to offer. Your judging the character of who he is after a bad game or two? He's still a great player with a lot to offer and can add a ton of value. Young guys have bad days too and hit slumps just like anyone else. News for you, as you age, you do regress. Am I the first person you've heard this from? He's still not at the age that you disregard the value he adds. He's got 3 years left of being a true asset. Coach Quinn will know where to use his talents to maximize success for the team.

Joey needs to be load managed something fierce this season. These FIBA games as he’s played big minutes he’s been so ineffective as he’s gotten fatigued

Lemanis has to go.

When Ingles came to this team none of us had any idea he would be a contributor. Now there are a few people who don't want him around because he has a few bad games. Ingles is one of the greatest low value finds in Jazz history. Although tough to replace when the time is right I hope we can find a player who possesses a similar skill set (tough, I know).

I’m the guy who started the thread. I regret doing it if it contributes to people doubting Joe as a player.

I was worried that the Rockets were able to stop him by forcing him right. My worries have been resolved for two reasons:

1. He showed in FIBA that he’s adjusted his game. Canada tried to force him right and Joe made them pay dearly.

2. Someone in this thread pointed out that not only did the Rockets force him right, he was a focal point of their defense. The Rockets game plan was to let Crowder and Rubio beat them. Teams can’t do that anymore. Joe isn’t the #2 option anymore, he’s the 4th. He was probably one of the worst second options in the league, but now he’ll be the best 4th option in the NBA. This 19-20 Jazz won’t require as much from Joe as the 18-19 Jazz and the Australian national team. He is the ultimate role player.

He’s going to be fine for the Jazz this year.
