Can someone explain to me why after 6 years in the NBA and being paid $100+ million, Rudy still refuses to develop himself ANY kind of low post game? Watching him shoot hooks in NBA or FIBA games (as sparingly as it happens) is as painful an experience as there is. He seems incapable of scoring literally beyond 3 ft.
Recently in FIBA, the ball WAS thrown down low to him a couple times, but it seems obvious he's clueless about the necessity to dribble once, maybe twice and make his move quick before the defense can load up or he's called for a 3 sec violation.
One of Rudy's limitations is his inability to punish smaller centers, or forwards that have switched onto him. I know this is the new NBA, and bigs posting up in the paint is not really a thing anymore, but isn't that still just fundamental basketball? Why has it been so difficult for Rudy to develop that???
