Lost a preseason game to another Aussie team today. A familiar name lead them in scoring though:

"Eric Griffin was the 36ers' best with 16 points and six rebounds, while he received strong support from Harry Froling (13 points), Deshon Taylor (12 points), Daniel Johnson (11 points), Jack McVeigh (11 points) and Ramone Moore (10 points, nine assists).

Adelaide now prepares for their NBLxNBA clash with Utah Jazz on October 6."

I just saw the blurb on the interwebs and it appears these guys may not be that good in the Aussie league. It might be a good opportunity to see some of our young players.

Sometimes I forget what day it is, but I would need to be in a coma to lose a week. Since my phone says today is September 28th, then I can reliably conclude that I did not fall into a coma.

They have a player, Deshon Taylor, who was a very good college point guard for Fresno State. His last two seasons he averaged 17 points and 5 assists while making first team all conference in the Mountain West Conference.

Are we pretending to care about preseason NBA for the first time in preseason NBA existence? Is that how bored we've become? I wouldn't care about preseason if the Jazz played 8 elementary school teams and lost all 8 of them. Preseason has never mattered, and it won't matter for at least the next 30 years and possibly until the end of planet earth. Preseason games are for drunk parents to convince their children that they care about them by taking them to a game. That's it.

Preseason games allow me to take my two little kids and wife to the game for a total of thirty bucks.

It's also where a few rotational kinks get sorted out.

Believe it or not, preseason games are useful for these and other reasons.

It’s a good idea to put Stoked’s alt on ignore. FYI.

I enjoy pre-season basketball... because it is basketball and I needs me some damn basketball!

I'm going to the Portland pre-season game. Looking forward to it too. I want to see the new guys and see if any of the rookies can hang with the rotation players.
