Is Warren just Hillary 2.0?

Fighting with yourself on this, I see. No, I don't think they're the same.

Hillary was cold, ruthless, elitist, corrupt and more moderate than Warren. That said, unlikable as she was, she was actually a fairly strong candidate in many ways. She ran up against a rising tide against the march towards social liberalism of the previous 8 years (Obamacare, same-sex marriage, legalizing marijuana, open borders, etc.), and she inherited Bill Clinton's scandals in addition to her own. That ultimately did her in.

Warren comes off as slightly zany, wonky, and even flighty sometimes, with left-leaning proposals and ideas that seem out of touch with reality. I don't think she's as strong a candidate as Hillary at this stage, but she could still rise to the occasion.

Biden's already a lame duck, imo. It's just a matter of time before his campaign peters out.

A stale insult by Trump supporters more recently picked up on by some overzealous and misguided Bernie fans. Politics really does make for strange bedfellows.

Id say Obama 2.0
If only Warren was an updated Obama. The former president currently has a 95 percent approval rating with Democrats. Take Obama’s approval, add in his charisma and rhetorical skills, and instead of being the not so clear frontrunner, she would already be the presumptive nominee and a prohibitive favorite against Trump.

skurred GOP alts posting at random.

Literally none of the DNC candidates scares any conservative voter in this next election. Especially considering that they keep trying to undo the constitution and tout socialist propaganda as the way forward.

Or conversely, I will agree with you, they scare conservatives so much that with all of the socialist rhetoric and presidential harrassment on display, they have literally reelected Trump a year ahead of schedule.

Undo the Constitution? Do tell!

This would be easier to believe if they weren't getting so much attention...

In terms of her policy positions she's pretty close, more progressive on things like Healthcare and fighting wall street.
We’re now in a more progressive era, thanks in large part to Bernie Sanders moving the Overton window for Democrats. I have some fundamental disagreements with progressives but healthcare and Wall Street oversight are not among them.

Socialist scaremongering has been going on for close to 90 years now, beginning way back when the New Deal first began to be formulated. It was nonsense then and remains even more so today. We now have an historical perspective on what the New Deal was and what it was not. It was not socialism. It was and remains regulated capitalism. Of the Democratic candidates Sanders comes closest to being a socialist but even he just wants an updated New Deal. His use of the word socialist throughout his career in politics freaks some people out, but he has always put his use of the word in perspective: he favors Democratic socialism as seen and practiced in Scandinavia. All the Scandinavian countries, by the way, remain capitalistic with mixed economies. After all these decades of freakouts over one word maybe it’s time to have a mature discussion about whether the United States wants to move toward a more European model of capitalism.

For sure. She's supported single payer as early as like 2004 in some of her academic writing, and of course she's made her name professionally and as a politician as someone who's sided with consumers against Wall Street banks and such. But we wouldn't be where we are with the healthcare debate if it wasn't for the work of Sanders.

"Mature discussion"? You live in a dream world, my friend. We don't do mature discussions. We prefer hysteria.
