I'm a little worried about Conley

I didn't like the Conley trade when it happened but over time talked myself into liking it.

I still think that DM should be our point guard and we should look for a 2 guard with size and shooting who is a good defender to pair with DM.

No matter what through we should all reserve judgement on this extremely new roster until around the all Star break. I trust that quin will figure things out and get this team to top 3 team in the West status and true contenders.

If Mitchell didn't have such a good % on his catch-and-shoot 3s, I might agree. But having him play half the game off of the ball is really good for us.

Um, Rubio was a better defender. Conoly gets steals, but Rubio was long, tall, and big for his position. I'm not at all saying that Conoly is bad at defense, but you're an idiot if you're saying that Conoly is better at defending than Rubio.

Smaller point guards are a liability especially in today's nba where defensive switches are everywhere. You cant expect Conoly to be able to switch to a taller player on defense and be able to keep them ahead of him.

This point is irrelevant when you realize that Conley's superior shooting over Rubio means that the number of transition opportunities opposing teams will have has been significantly slashed.

Conley improves our D over Rubio just by shooting his shots.

The point was his defense, not offense. Your logic is so derpy, by your stupid logic James Harden is the best defender in the league

You say this like I didn't watch Rubio play defense last year. Whatever advantage he may of had defensively in the past, those days are gone. He can sometimes be pesky on ball, but he gave up fighting through screens and lost track of his defensive assignment constantly. His height advantage earned him 10 blocks last year. Mike Conley had 22.

You couldn't trade Conley right now. He is to good of a player and could be great with the team. The Jazz shouldn't make any trades for that matter because they will need a few months to see how everything fits.

So, yeah... James Harden makes shots, therefore he is a plus on defense because it gives the Rockets time to get back on defense. It makes sense to that degree... I guess, but just because Rubio was 30% from 3 doesn't mean that he was bad defensively or even worse than Conoly
