Very good lead to take into halftime, but we're still giving up a lot of wide open looks. Ingles just missed a bunch of wide open 3s, and he's a very good shooter, so we've been lucky. Hope we can maintain the focus in the 2nd half, because Jazz certainly look sluggish.

Nothing to do with the score. We had a lull after the initial 10-4 run where they allowed guards to drive to the hoop. A lot better job of keeping guards infront and out of the paint

Up 15 at the half, getting owned in the 2nd half, losing to a tired team that was on the 2nd of a back to back. This is after we got embarrassed in Phoenix already, and didn't even played heavy minutes in that game. Absolutely pathetic all around.

Not even surprised or upset anymore. Just becoming numb to the mediocrity of this squad. Changes need to occur if we expect to be good this season whether that’s a change of rotations, change of defense, offense, trades or the coach. What is clear is that what we currently have isn’t cutting it.
after one good half. we gave up 66 points in the second half. Kyrie got attacked over and over during the 4th quarter on defense. Disappointing loss especially after being up large in the first half. Also we scored 46 points in the second half. This game is a great example of what good Nets team play looks like vs what we have been doing most of the season. First half, we keep guards infront of us and make sure we force contested jumpers while running our offense and getting open shots. Second half, we jack up 3s early in the shot clock which lead to layups for the other team. Also to make things worse, we let guards drive the ball into the paint for easy floaters. If anyone gets to go back and rewatch the beginning of the 3rd quarter, you can see nets take early 3s while jazz are attacking the paint. Our entire lead was gone in a span of 4 minutes. Our team needs to go watch the tape and see what they did right during the first half vs what they did in the second half. I really like Kyrie but I am not impressed by his ability as a point guard. This may be harsh considering it could very well be that he is not use to Net’s offense. There is alot of dribbling and not alot of passing. We had alot of one on one possessions where Kyrie (fg: 10-30) took a fadeways or the ball just stuck to one side of the court. We let them off the hook especially since they were coming from playing yesterday. All the possessions where we didn’t move to the ball and took quick 3s were nice little breathers for jazz players. I know our offense has put up high numbers but we need to get players involved and have balanced scoring. This is even important for Kyrie so he doesn’t burn himself out. We need to share the ball more. The responsibility to share the ball also falls on the rest of the 4 players to make themselves available. We don’t need to wait for kyrie to make a play while everyone stands at the 3 pt line waiting for the ball. Kenny wasn’t kidding when he said we are far from where we want to be. Sorry, Rant over.

With Kyrie, it is what it is. He's always been meant to be the second fiddle to an elite player above him in the league. Once Lebron, now KD. You don't win a title in this league without a top 7 player and Kyrie did admit this without saying it by joining forces again with a player above him. It's almost impossible to win a 7 game series deep in the playoffs without one. Nets have one and he's on the mend, thats why these guys are here. And it's pretty obvious early in the season that barring major injury that one of the two LA teams likely wins the whole thing based on star talent at the top.
If the Nets don't look like a real playoff team come February I wouldn't even be against sitting Kyrie with a fake injury (make it minor but build it as serious-people would buy it) then tanking for a higher draft pick. At the same time though there is pressure to make the Nets better this year to gain fans and hype.
This season at times is all about next year and finding the right fits around KD for when he finally returns.
Statistically speaking, we have the best offense in the league and the worst defense in the league. This is what that looks like.

With Kyrie, it is what it is. He's always been meant to be the second fiddle to an elite player above him in the league. Once Lebron, now KD. You don't win a title in this league without a top 7 player and Kyrie did admit this without saying it by joining forces again with a player above him. It's almost impossible to win a 7 game series deep in the playoffs without one. Nets have one and he's on the mend, thats why these guys are here. And it's pretty obvious early in the season that barring major injury that one of the two LA teams likely wins the whole thing based on star talent at the top.
If the Nets don't look like a real playoff team come February I wouldn't even be against sitting Kyrie with a fake injury (make it minor but build it as serious-people would buy it) then tanking for a higher draft pick. At the same time though there is pressure to make the Nets better this year to gain fans and hype.
This season at times is all about next year and finding the right fits around KD for when he finally returns.
