ENES KANTER: The third and last game of the preparation tourney will start in half an hour

Right now, Valanciunas looks like a PF at the pro level. He doesn't have much of a back-to-basket game and isn't heavy enough to establish deep position against bigger players. He's got long strides and long arms though. He's got good touch around the hoop. He also has a good motor. He seems focused, his movement is pretty efficient, and he seems to be improving. He's learning how to use his length. He gets good position quite often by outrunning everyone down court. He could be an ideal center on a fast-break team.

If I had to predict, I would say Kanter will average more rebounds, but it's tough to tell who will be the better go-to player on offense. Valanciunas might also be better defensively given his length and motor. He's showing Tyson Chandler potential on both ends.

JV got most of his points against the second unit or on fouls. I didn't see him put a great move on one of the Gasols. Mostly he dives into the lane and draws contact with his quickness.

Jonas seems pretty tall compared to the Gasol Brothers in that game..

While Kanter seems a bit short against his opponents in the 3 games thus far...

I thought they were similar height? Can anyone confirm?

No I am not Turkish and I by my view ( I watched all Kanter and Valanciunas friendly games) Kanter looked like scrub compared to Valanciunas. Jonas showed me way better hoops, even more energetic, beter 1on1 defence, way better help defence, was better at grabing boards because of his great hands and had very soft touch around basket. Sorry but everything I saw Jonas looked better. Maybe Kanter will pick it up but if he won't he will not survive in NBA. Besides one post move ( turnaround jumper) I didn't see any NBA moves. Even his rebounding, he was good boxing out but he had problems to grab them - many of them slipping, playing against more athletic bigs it could be a problem...

You are right. He won't survive in the NBA. He may as well hang it up. It's over...
