What's new

Jazz @ Indiana Pace Cars

I don't feel like there should be an arbitrary time line where a player or coach, or anybody is free from criticism, until such time.

Single games in a vacuum can, and should be commented on. It's what we do as fans. Criticizing right now does not mean long term.

I've even criticized Bradley in a vacuum, but am fully aware he is a young player developing, and is not the finished product.
Critism should happen, I just don't think there is anything to pin on Quin yet. Coaches can be criticised in vacuum for their in-game decisions like timeouts or rotations but can't be criticised for players' decisions. It's more of a long term issue. It's hard to fix players' tendencies.

If you mean it's way too early to come to conclusions, then absolutely.

Do it. Some will make snarky remarks and feel vindicated when someone struggle ("Hey! I said he was washed! I knew DL was wrong when the trade happened"), then disappear when proved wrong or act like they never said anything. I'll exercise patience.
This is the west it’s not about patience it’s about wins and losses we don’t have time for Conley to play better

Another outlier hall of famer.. Has conley even made an all star game in his career? .. Stop the blasphemous comparisons

Has nothing to do with your point. Already, three PGs have been referenced who at an advanced age were still playing at a high level. You can add Jason Kidd to the list. PGs actually have aged well in the NBA, kind of like quarterbacks in football.

He was playing with scrubs. In the West. And he was their only offensive option. Did you watch Grizzlies games?
those excuses work when he's in Memphis. but with us, they don't work. how much time can we give him to show that he is not a washed up used to be chasing empty stats at this point.

He was playing well until before the last 3 games (averaging more than 17ppg on 39% from 3). Definitely more than a few games.

What a disappointment, Conley was Quin’s guy (his favorite PG in his own words), that’s why I think that the Jazz brought him in.

Rubio left his heart in every game at least, the Jazz did him wrong is all I can say.

Utah's coaches worked really hard with him and he improved. Rubio gave it all, but unfortunately it wasn't enough. He put a low ceiling on our team come playoff time. It just wasn't working for us and we informed him before free agency so he could look for a better situation.

one good game against G-leaguers from San Francisco raised his average. take out the outlier what does his stats look like?

You can't have it both ways. If you took away his good games, then you have to do the same with the bad ones. For november he will be about 15ppg on 37% on 3s after this game. Not as good as we all expect it but not horrible either.

Undersized pgs is what I said. Kidd at 6'4 makes conley look like the midget that he is. Lowery and cp3 at 6'0 are better examples that I will concede. Stockton is an all timer outlier.. Don't even go there. Bigger better sample size that include guards like IT is what I'm concerned about with Conley on aging spectrum

it looked so wrong that even some fans here hated the trade. honestly with the way he's been playing it's really hard to defend the guy and DL who erroneously pulled the trigger.

If you don't trade for Conley, you don't get Bojan or Ed Davis. And we would be screwed without Bojan.

Ed sucks. who cares? we are better off with someone like Baynes. And Bojan didn't come cheap either. we outbidded the Pacers in order to sign him. Don't act like Bojan came here just because of Conley.

I feel like Rubio didn't look like he knew what he was doing until the second half of his first season, and he's generally regarded as one of the smarter players in the league. So hopefully Conley can find his footing. Sometimes he completely forgets how to basketball so maybe he's overthinking things.

can you stop talking common sense plz ?? It's a little out of place here

Lol

Maybe I need to start a thread of "fire DL and JZ" or "Conley was the worst trade in history!!!"

We are forgetting we got Bojan thanks to Conley and that almost everyone was pretty ecstatic after the trade.
