It's insane. He holds his breath. You can see it when a play is over. HE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO BREATHE. They need to teach him.

Ded people don't breathe bruh.

I'd give him a shot over Mudiay right now... but Quin better commit to it if he does it... can't yank him out if he sucks for a few minutes. If you put him in over Mudiay and he sucks you risk losing both guys. Not great options right now, but we need someone to cover 10-12 minutes at least.

I won't bag on DL for the Conley acquisition because I was 100% on board at the time... but I do wonder if my initial thinking last year was correct and we need to think of DM as more of a pg than shooting guard. Putting Ingles alongside DM and using the assets we used on Conley to get another wing or a guy like Brogdon looks pretty appealing right now. It's hindsight so not fair for me to judge DL... just so disappointed in Mike's play so far... likely had my hopes up too high and expected the fit to be seamless… maybe we are a paper tiger.

Is this a thing though? Like learning to breathe? I remember when Myles Turner came into the draft and had to learn to run because his gait was so weird... then it turned out he had a weird glut muscle deficiency... but he took specific action to fix it... super smart and its allowed him to have great success.

Doesn't KK have a yoga studio or some ****... get Dante in there.

Well Brogdon is tall but he isn't Geoge Hill type he was with the Bucks. His usage rate is higher and most of Indy's offense go through him. So most likely finding balance would still be hard.

Yeah was just listing a bigger point guard... Malcolm has been a light's out shooter and can get his own shot while being able to guard both point guards and shooting guards. Conley hasn't been as good as I had hoped with or without the ball. If the idea was that he could provide space then I'd rather get that from someone that has more size.

IDK... Conley needs more time and I think he improves... just hoped for a better start and now am starting to question a bit.

My second unit would be Exum Mudiay, Joe, Green and Bradley. I would stop playing Niang. He has plenty of opportunities to prove himself. Bradley gives us more offense and Davis is afraid to shoot. Bradley put up good numbers when he played. Quin needs to tell the guys to share the ball and be aggressive.

If the second unit struggles then put in one of the top 3 starters to play with them. The coach needs to have patience with them and allow them to play through mistakes. Give a few weeks and see how it goes. The based upon their performance the coaching staff can make adjustments or we can make a trade to improve team.

Looked at some stuff this AM... there are a few swing stats...

- When Mike Conley has a TS% of 55 or over we are 6-2... 55 is league average. Part of our issues is his bad games are really bad... not just mediocre.
- Games when Mudiay has a TO% over 25% we are like 2-6... so his turnovers are the bigger issue... not his sporadic shooting.
- In our wins Niang plays 7.3 minutes... in losses 14.9... that might be some garbage time... but the on/off numbers on my dude are bad. Playing big with Bradley or going fast with Exum both seem like better options.
- In wins Royce is shooting 64% from three... in losses 32%... volume doesn't change much. Dude needs to shoot the three muuccchhhh more often imo. Royce has a TS percentage 96.5 at home which is bonkers... some really small sample size stuff going on here.

Conley having more good/average games would cure a lot of what hurts us.

I think we still should continue playing Mudiay in first place. If he is doing fine, keep him in. If he is playing like last night you put Dante in his place.

A bigger Conley would have been nice too. Conley needs to play better, that's for sure but I don't think this is an issue of whether he fits or not. Offensively, at least.
