Eye roll, I don't see how he has a case. He would have to prove beyond reasonable doubt he didn't say what he said. The organization is not responsible for his identity being released (he is, he went on the news) nor are they responsible for the reporting or fake accounts that happened after it.

Not to mention his racist rant on Twitter, since deleted of course. This is going nowhere.

Unfortunately they will probably settle. He'll end up with some amount to just go away. Probably cheaper than fighting it.

Sad but true there will be a magic number. My work settled with some arsehole we had arrested a number of years ago, he was completely 100 percent in the wrong but it was cheaper to pay him to **** off rather than go to court.

We regularly pay out between 2k and 6k depending on the complaint. In California you fire anyone, for nearly any reason, and they file suit because the laws very heavily favor the employee. This means I have someone who regularly skipped out on work, then had a fight in the parking lot with another employee for no good reason (investigation turned up that he thought the other employee was taking his favorite parking spot on purpose). So he met his end due to both attendance and the fight (which happened while we were processing the attendance term). He sued. They always tack on ******** things like failure to provide a break period for multiple dates, failure to provide lunch, **** that is very hard to prove and that people in the courts just automatically assume is the evil company taking it out on the little guy. So he sued and we gave him $6500 to go away. It really sucks and is a morale killer because how do I explain that to the people that come to work, do their job, and cause no problems when the dude plasters it all over social media when they all knew he was a douche? It sucks.

I like the guy he sounds like a go getter, id fire you and give him your job. Even with body cameras which record everything its still cheaper than court. I cant remember what our arsehole got for some reason 70k comes to mind but i im not sure.

I arrested a dude today who tried to attack me with a weapon, he made lots of noise about charging me with assault and suing, i wrote a report which will more or less double as my statement plus i have CCTV and body camera footage in support. Even still the cops aren't interested dude has an extensive criminal history.

I wonder if this guy will produce some evidence that corroborates what he says. If not, between the others saying he was being a jackass and his tweets, he doesn't seem all that believable.

With what he posted after the incident and ALSO what was said during the incident shouldn't be something to double down on.

Not sure what is true or not, but this Reddit post is worth reading:

It seems that some of the alleged Twitter posts may have beem fake, and states the fan reported that he said Westbrook should sit down and ice his knees (backed up by a witness) before Westbrook made his comments.

If this is the case, and the guy received death threats, lost his job, etc., then he should get paid.

Hopefully the lawsuit resolves these issues and are reported publicly. You better believe defense lawyers are going to look into this very thoroughly, and any racist acts by this guy will come out, or perhaps it will show there aren't any.

Plan on fans in the vicinity to get questioned. Should be interesting. Hope it doesn't settle. Let the truth come out either way.

"The attorneys are seeking $68 million in damages for Keisel and $32 million for Huff on claims of defamation and infliction of emotional distress."

Let's assume that there is a conspiracy against him. He still got into a verbal altercation with an opposing player, that alone is enough to ban him for life. The Jazz and Vivint arena are just like any other business, they can refuse service for any reason. The Jazz and Westbrook aren't responsible for other people threatening him on Twitter.
