At least until Conley is healthy. He should be relatively serviceable during this stretch.

Yes. Jazz have reportedly been high on him for years. I doubted that they traded for him just to trade him away the same season.

Chime in on whether you think we keep Clarkson or not ?
It would be way out of character for the Jazz to flip him without giving him the rest of the year to see what we got. I say he sticks for the rest of the year and then he will be a UFA, right? I don't think he is back next year. This seems like a flexibility move as much as a fix the bench move.

Yeah, I think they wanted Clarkson, and that's why they pulled the trigger on this particular deal. He gives the Jazz another guy who can go for 25 pts on any given night. He's a more natural shooter and scorer than Mudiay. Plus he gives the Jazz a bit of financial flexibility at the end of the season.

But that said, if a forward they really like comes available for an expiring deal, and if Clarkson isn't working out as planned, I could see them making a move.

I think we likely keep him the rest of the season. I doubt we re-sign him in the off-season, probably not enough money to keep him and Royce. Now that we've gotten off of Exum's contract for next season we can re-sign Royce and then use the mid level exception to fill out the rest of the bench.

I voted no as I thought you meant over the summer. I doubt we trade him and I doubt we re-sign him though if we can at a decent price (2/12?), it might be a smart move given we need the depth now and likely will next year.

I think there’s a decent chance that they made the trade to get out from under Exum’s contract and have some flexibility to flip Clarkson for a more expensive player by the deadline. Wouldn’t be surprised to see them move him for a different player.
