Character Assissination by Quin and DL

The Trib just ran a story about how bad our bench is/was and how there is nothing on the roster so the deals had to be made because Dante had lost so much and there was nothing else there. So I went and looked at the box score of our two games with the Bucks and what do you know? In a 3 point win and a 4 point loss Bradley had 7 points and 8 boards (Rudy played) and 8 points and 11 boards when Rudy did not play. Exum dnped both games. It seems like Quin has been fibbing on Bradley and we have no idea that he was or wasn't lying about Exum. Also based on the Locke/Snyder metric about how much Ex had/has lost I would wager that Stockton would have been totally worthless his last five years of playing with us.

Huh? In addition to Lock saying that Dante didn't look right in practice, Andy Larsen also said in an article after the trade that it's clear from watching the portions of practice that the media is allowed to watch that Dante doesn't have anywhere near the same burst he did before this latest knee injury and he said his shooting looks worse than ever. Quin wants to win, if he thought playing Exum ahead of some of the other bench guys would have given us the best chance of winning then he would've been in the rotation.

Homey is saying that the Jazz organization is pitching the notion that our bench is bad and there are no answers on the roster, but that its mularkey. It's something paid Jazz insider Tony Jones pitches for the team on the regular as well. He constantly tweets stuff similar too "the bench isn't performing well but there are limited options".

The truth is that Bradley played well in his minutes but Quin doesn't WANT to play him. We have young players who are balling but Quin doesn't WANT to play them. We have options but Quin doesn't WANT to use them.

This is what I was trying to say. The only metric for DedEx in the game vs Toronto (Jazz were down 40 at half) where had had 9 points and 2 boards in 11 minutes (but it was garbage time that doesn't count) and vs OKC with 4 points and 3 boards and a high + total. The narrative totally ignores Bradley's contributions when called upon. I think Quin had more options from the Bench including JWF, Brantley, Morgan, Oni and NWG and the late great DedEx and Bradley. It's kind of sad the media didn't call bull pucky on Quin's and DL's self serving narrative.

The local media seem pretty subservient to the organisation

Quin is the most overrated coach in the NBA. We have a talented roster, but have played well below expectations. And instead of blaming Quin, most people (including most jazzfanz posters) blame the players.

It literally took a Mike Conley injury for Quin to put Ingles in the starting lineup, when most of us knew all along that Ingles should have started from the get go.

Quin's offensive game plan for the bench is to have 3 guys stand behind the three point and watch one person dribble or run a pick and role and then hope that person kicks the ball out to them for a contested 3. Terrible smh.

They were terrified Dante would get injured so they held him out till they could trade him. WTF they are doing with Bradley, who knows?

On Bradley, I concur he should play more and Davis less unless Ed suddenly start to remember his game.
On Exum's front however, injuries or not, kid has not demonstrated he can play basketball at the level required to earn NBA minutes.
About Quin, he's erring taking the basketball out off Conley's hands. Mike should point guard it with a little help from Joe, Donovan should offball it IMHO.

The problem with Davis is he's a mere 6'8" and a little light in the *** to be locking horns with behemoths. I don't think we've seen our best ball from him, not at all. Quickness and agility are his strengths, and I don't think he's lost much if anything in that regard. I think we need to run more pick n rolls for him cause he's not a post up guy.
