I liked Brantley in summer league but after watching his highlights lately I'm not sure he's an NBA player. I hope I'm wrong but he looks too slow.

Brantley looked good tonight. He ended with 24p/8r/5a/1s/1b and made 4/5 from 3pt. He looked more confident shooting the 3. He held his own with solid position defense against the Spurs' 4s, and he was able to seal for a couple rebounds and putbacks against Chemezie Metu.

Brantley is better than Niang.

Howard is better than Niang.

Morgan is better than Niang.

Very real possibility JWF and NWG are both better than Niang.

Bradley is better than Niang.

Exum is better than Niang.

Is there anyone who isn't better than Niang?
You're full of hehepeepeecaca. First of all NWG has no place on any NBA roster. Exum needed a new team for his own sake. Bradley plays a different position, as does JWF. Morgan, I haven't seen him play, or at least don't recall seeing him in summer league. Brantley could potentially be better. But Niang is a lot better than most people here give him credit and apparently Quin trusts him or he wouldn't be playing him.

Best utilized Niang is a deep bench 11th, 12th man. He's a specialist. A sniper. You bring him off the bench when a situation presents itself where you need a 3 or against certain teams in certain matchups. He does not have the versatility necessary to be a good regular rotation player. Brantley does. Morgan does. Exum effected the game in more ways. Howard flashed the necessary versatility.

He doesn't play at all-out speed and seems to pace himself and to play under control. He has a bit of a laid back demeanor, but he can turn up the motor when he needs to. He has good timing and instincts and he's pretty explosive when challenging shots and grabbing rebounds. I think he can play at the NBA level.

The way he plays might be stylistically more like Paul Pierce than Paul Millsap. He wants to handle and pass, and he wants to use hesitations and crosses when he drives.

Howard struggled a bit with NBA speed and physicality.

Brantley is doing something right at the GLeague level as he has been an integral part of the 14 wins in a row.
