The likelihood that coach will still be employed by the Knicks in a few years isn’t too likely lol. Donovan’s close with Houston their Assistant GM, Donovan’s dad has a relationship with their FO. I would actually very much guess there’s a little chatter/know of who DM actually is around the Knicks due to relationships vs the PR master he is to the fanbase he panders to.

ehh... Players don’t get to choose where they get drafted(or traded to) entering the league. They ALL have teams they would prefer to play for if they had their choice. Their second contract is where they get to excise what they would like to happen. Maybe he simply just wants to be close to his mom or something like that? Could you blame him?

It’s better to spend your energy appreciating what we have with him now, instead of focusing on what might happen.

As far as resenting him for “flirting”, let’s not get carried away...

To further the point, do you think for some reason we have done Donovan such a service that he owes the jazz first right of refusal when it comes to his next contract? I don’t think so, and I’m a huge fan who hopes he stays.
