Catfish the Movie

So I saw the movie awhile back but just saw the 20/20 tonight with the interviews. So who all thinks the film is real? I keep going back and forth on the authenticity but I'm sure it's somewhere in the middle. I'm sure the guys went back and recorded and acted out previous events that weren't caught on film.

Thoughts on the film and tonight 20/20 special?

I like catfish. And hushpuppies. Yum.

Some of the best memories I have as a kid was going to Arkansas with my uncle to visit his family (big family reunion). They would get 3 or 4 boats on Bull Shoals reservoir and we would haul in a ton of catfish, then have a big fish fry the next day, with all the fixings - hushpuppies, collard and turnip greens, okra, fried pickles, and sweet potato and pecan pies.

Now I'm getting hungry.

Arkansas has the best catfish on the planet. Lived there for a couple years and ate catfish probably once a week and never got sick of it.

I have always been amazed how long catfish can live out of water. I remember going catfishing with my grandpa when I was a lad and putting the fish in a burlap sack while we went river to river. Then in the trunk of the car the bulap sack would go. When we got back to his house and dumped them out on the back lawn, they were still flopping around. I dropped a couple into a neighboring ditch where we had never seen any fish and they lived just fine for the summer. Till I fished them back out again for dinner.

That is the freakiest show on TV. And that is one big catfish.
