What's new

How many days, months, years do we need to wait on Conley now?

I'd say til the all-star break. You dudes are fickle and are acting like he's the sole reason we struggled. He wasn't. He was part of it just as Ingles, Royce, Clarkson, and even Rudy on guys that got their butts handed to them.

It’s not about last nights game. Conley should be fresh compared to the rest of our guys meaning his play should be blossoming getting better every game and all we see is the same guy that sucked before the injury. And he also kills our chemistry

I don’t think the story is written yet. However, there was plenty of reason to have concern before he was even acquired and it looks like all/most of those issues (makes the backcourt tiny, has lost a step, has a proclivity for injury, has virtually no track-record of playing with perimeter talent in an egalitarian system) have thus far come true. At this point, it’s not on Conley doubters to prove their case, it’s on the faithful to prove theirs.

The dude didn't play well but at least he didn't shoot 2-12 like he has in the past.

And yes - I admit my statement is 50% sense and 50% coping mechanism.

Minnesota is also a fairly-obvious partner.

The most, IMO.

For those saying “everyone sucked last night”, true. Here’s the thing though, you bring in a Mike Conley to be a guy that can pick up a team and have a night when everyone is down. The vet, Memphis version.

We have lowered the bar on this guy so much that we are now saying a 3/9, 11pt 3ast (making up an example) night is “pretty good, he’s coming along”.

You didn’t pick him up for that and you certainly didn’t pick him up to never ever be a guy to carry a team to a win when energy is down.

This isn’t coming from frustration over one game. We have a guy named Mike Conley on our team....think about that. But we have never seen a full game from him (yeah he had a nice 3rd quarter once) that looks ANYTHING like THE Mike Conley we thought we would get when we said “we got Mike Conley”.

I expect A LOT more from a player making $30M/year. Could care less about your coping mechanism.

Delete your account. Dear God.
So in your opinion, should Quin resign when he does just that upon Mudiay's return? Every Conley's doubters' point has been proven right so far. Maybe it's time for you Conley defenders to make a case for yourself instead of, you know, making those same old vague statements over and over despite lacking any real material facts to back them up, and trashing on those who disagree with you?

I'm a fan of the team and Conley seems like a great guy, so I hope he bounces back and makes us all look dumb. But really, he has not played to his standard and if we could get any reasonably contributing player (CP3/Horford are my big hopes) I would be all over it.

You can't be serious. You honestly think Quin is going to bench Conley and play Mudiay over him? Would you care to bet on it?

No I won't now. But I really should’ve on those “conley not coming off the bench when he returns from injury”, or “conley hating bitch is gonna look like **** comes midseason” bets earlier. A big opportunity lost

Case: Conley has been a top 12 PG most of his career so chill out.

You could care less? Thanks! For that means you care if you could care less.

However, I know you were simply being a sarcastic ---- ------; I suggest you learn how the English language works -----.
