We aren't in a great rhythm anymore so, sure... why not. I still think the current starting lineup makes the most sense, but I think Royce helps the bench unit too (I'm guessing Joe stays as a starter).

Alright Mike... no more excuses... please be better.

This whole board is negative and it’s nauseating. I pay so much attention to it because it’s not going to keep happening. His talent didn’t get sucked out of him by the Monstars. He is a great player and will show it.

There’s a thing more deleterious than the Monstars; CONTEXT. This ain’t Memphis, he ain’t young, and he ain’t been playing well. Those are just facts.

Anyway, yeah, we’re all hoping he does well. All. Everyone. Even jom.

If it exists, I’d love to see advanced analytics on how many seconds per 24 Conley had the ball in his hands in Memphis as well as how many passes Memphis had per 24. I’d guess his number was near the league high (given the lack of wing talent there) and the team’s number was on the lower end.

I just have little faith that he knows how to play within such a balanced team construct but I guess **** it, better now than never to break him in. At least we have a lot of home games coming up...10 of the next 13 iirc.

We have to hope that it’s as simple as an old dogs/new tricks situation. Any other reason are absolute judgments of his ability... although I suppose if he’s ultimately unable to adjust his mentality and game then that’s just as bad as him losing a step or two and fighting the yips every other game.

Or maybe he will figure it out. But if he doesn’t by the trade deadline then I fully endorse shipping him out. We don’t have the luxury of time to figure this out. Few teams do.
