Jazz @ Rockets 5:00 PM MT Game Thread

Harden + Westbrook = 67/16/14
Conley + Mitchell + Clarkson = 74/16/14

We matched their guards' output. Now if they had Eric Gordon, maybe that's a bit different.

Yeah. LOOK AT EVERY SINGLE OTHER STARTERS NUMBERS SINCE CONLEYS STARTING AGAIN. That's what I thought.

Bogey is averaging 21 PPG on 45% from the field and 40% from 3.

Gobert is averaging 13/13 on 65% from the field.

Ingles is averaging the same exact stats except 4 PPG less.

Mitchell has been struggling lately. I wouldn’t blame his shooting issues on Conley. He will come around.

Seems to me like the rest of the starters haven’t seen a decrease in numbers minus Ingles scoring and Conley is scoring enough to make up for it.

We really should be 3-1 in the last 4 games but we blew the game against Denver. The negative narratives against Conley are looking worse and worse by each passing game.

Clarkson has tiger blood and that’s way more than just a scorer. He checks in ready to kill it with no fear and pure passion on his face. That kid is full of heart

There was a stretch in the middle of the 2nd quarter and end of the 3rd where the Rockets were starting to pull away and Clarkson hit some much needed baskets to keep us in the game. What an addition he has been. I know a lot of people are mad that we didn’t make a move at the deadline but this move before it was great. We got an extra 20 games out of him before the trade deadline.

Conley is a really good player, and the Jazz will adjust to playing with him, even Mitchell. It's going to take a bit longer and there will be a fair amount of give and take. It's ok if everyones stats decrease a bit if the efficiency is there. The offense will be fine, and the defense should be passable if everyone plays hard and forces opposing offense toward Gobert. Rebounding on both ends has to improve. Effort is the most important variable in this equation and also the most controllable. We can't win playoff series without outworking the opposition. Too many small guys and lower end athletes. The Jazz best athlete can't even get on the court. Jazz also need to get tougher. Teams that bully the Jazz typically limit the efficiency of the offense and outrebound the Jazz as well, which doesn't end well. In addition, the Jazz have way too many unforced errors/turnovers; it's almost like they need to spend a day each week relearning to dribble, pass, and catch. They are who they are, so time to become the best version of what they can be.

Gobert rebounds ppg bpg all down.
Mitchell is playing way down.
Ingles is a shell of what he was.
Royce all numbers down.
Mudiay dissapeared.
Team defense way worse.
2 lucky wins. Easily could be 7 games in a row lost.
It's great Conleys numbers are better. The team isn't better with him.
