2020 Presidential election

Don't lead with a terse little "No" like you're the beginning and end of all knowledge if you don't want to scrap.

And I disagree pretty clearly with Bloomberg staying in helping Sanders. If he drops it's probably small advantage to Biden, but Sanders has a very real chance of grabbing a majority there (especially as our garbage healthcare system is exposed in the coming weeks/months). If Bloomberg stays it's highly likely to go to a contested convention and unless Sanders was at 49.9% of the vote in round 1 I seriously doubt he takes it there.

why do you think Bloomberg staying doesn’t significantly hurt Biden? What does Bloomberg get from staying? Certainly he doesn’t have a path for victory, right?

Glad to see Dems acting like adults and consolidating the field before it's too late.

If only the viable candidates weren't all well past retirement age.

If Amy and Pete were going to drop out, I wish they would have done it before I wasted a vote for tomorrow's primary. Guess I won't vote early in future primaries.

Bloomberg’s political ads are the corniest **** there is.
I love the one line that goes something like "After 9/11 no one thought New York City could come back, but Mike did it!"

Like we all thought New York City was just going to go away because a few buildings were destroyed. It took Mike Bloomberg to raise NYC from the ashes, without him no more NYC.

Biden is still a very weak candidate, notwithstanding his performance in South Carolina. He'd be putting the "Blue No Matter Who" theory to a serious test.

Bloomberg appears to me to be the most competent Democratic candidate remaining. His problem is that he has almost no base and it's getting late in the process for him to build one.

It's pretty obvious that the Democratic establishment is all in to try to stop Bernie from getting a clear majority of delegates. If Bernie doesn't get the nomination though, he can threaten to run as an independent and that basically guarantees Trump will get re-elected. It'll be much worse than Ralph Nader peeling votes off of John Kerry in 2004. He's got some leverage.

Bloomberg is a gigantic asshat. He's a Trump jr. imho.

It's really disappointing to me that it looks like Biden is going to be the nominee, but it will be perfectly easy for me to vote for him over Trump. I also think he doesn't live through his term or at least that he will not be able to complete his term due to medical issues. I think the same is true if Trump gets re-elected, I think his health will fail.

Sanders IS NOT going to **** things up by going independent. He's not going to be the guy that hands Trump another term.

Biden is Alive. If voters believe he is viable they will shift from Bloomberg, Pete and Amy to joe.

I’m predicting Biden wins Texas, Bernie wins Cali, and Super Tuesday decides nothing. Then, Moderates rally behind joe and Bernie is bridesmaid again.

Biden is next potus.

Biden is still weak. I get that he feels revitalized after South Carolina, but he finished 5th in New Hampshire behind both Warren and Klobuchar, and lost by 27 points in Nevada. Bernie should still come in well ahead of Biden in the final delegate tallies, and it's going to feel like a robbery if Bernie doesn't end up with the nomination.

Biden can't speak in complete sentences and he's going to get flayed if he goes up against Trump.

Don't put it past him. In his rallies and in his ads, he's defying and denouncing the Democratic establishment to their faces.
He has no love for the Democratic establishment but he knows that Trump puts our nation at risk every second he's in office. He's not going to be the guy to get him re-elected. He'd never win another race, including his senate seat if he did that.

Unfortunately, I don't think Sanders would run Independent for fear that it would give the election to Trump.

And that's what Trump's been afraid of for the past year...

I want the candidate with the best chance to beat Trump. And Trump, justified or not, thinks that candidate might be Biden. Maybe he would clobber Biden, I don't know. He is the incumbent, the economy seems to be on his side, and we can probably expect multiple state actors interfering this time around. So I suspect Trump will be tough to beat. We shall see....
