I really don't understand the idea that Joe Biden is "the electable one." He's always been a gaffe machine, but in the last few months that's been cranked up to eleven. Add the Hunter Biden nonsense, which will surely turn into Hillary's emails 2.0, and I just don't see it. His organization and ground game thus far has left a lot to be desired--he doesn't have anything like Bernie on that front.

But hey, the Dems went the uninspiring safe moderate with ginned up legal scandals route four years ago and that went great so what do I know.

Biden won SC by almost 30 points.

He’s going to far exceed polls today and ride a wave of momentum to the nomination.

Trump has no advantage over Biden in complete and sensible sentences.

Democrats (the DNC) think playing it safe is putting out someone no one really likes too much. Like too much passion is dangerous.

They kneecapped Sanders in 2016 for Hillary Clinton... It was her turn. They owed her.

It's Biden's turn. He was a senator, he was VP, it's his turn to be President! Don't want to make waves at the next DNC inner circle-jerk. Give it to old man Biden. I mean this is his last chance, he'll probably be dead before the 2024 race gets serious.
 
Not sure why the Bernie folks on here are all bent out of shape. If Bernie and his ideas aren’t popular enough among Democrats to earn him the nomination over Biden in essentially a two man race, why do they think he’d do any better against Trump?

And you think his gaffes combined with Burisma will be worse than Trump’s incessant comparing Bernie to Stalin and Kim? What about Bernie’s own shady deals? His wife for example. She’s a good kind for Team Trump.

What about his attacks on rule of law? He just said he will legalize marijuana and forgive drug crimes via executive order. That’s something I want done but I don’t want it done via executive order. So Very Trumpian.

If we are to appeal to women and Hispanics, how do you think it’ll play out when we are reminded of his support for guns and a time when he killed comprehensive immigration reform? This “scandal” is weak but you can see how it can be spun to hurt his appeal among a key demos:

Bloomberg appears to me to be the most competent Democratic candidate remaining. His problem is that he has almost no base and it's getting late in the process for him to build one.

It's pretty obvious that the Democratic establishment is all in to try to stop Bernie from getting a clear majority of delegates. If Bernie doesn't get the nomination though, he can threaten to run as an independent and that basically guarantees Trump will get re-elected. It'll be much worse than Ralph Nader peeling votes off of John Kerry in 2004. He's got some leverage.

Ralph Nader was one of the greatest American public advocates of the 20th century and the first thing most folks think of when they mention his name is the 2000 election.

Do you really think Bernie will be comfortable with the legacy of being "the guy that handed Trump a second term"
