Current NBA players fantasy draft to get us through these coronavirus days

Well... Thee ruined this year's... Every year someone gives up their first round pick for 2, 3, and 4th. The person who they trade with usually wins.

Thats in the all time one. Not this.

Different animal.

It happens in this one as well. It's an even bigger deal in this one too pair two top 10 players. In the all time NBA there are lots of elite players to pick from. This is very limited. That's how I won it last year. Combined Leonard and Giannis. Didn't matter after that who I drafted.

But I guess we will see!

Either way a bad trade from there.

Hes not drafting two guys as dominant as Giannis and Leonard. There’s a **** ton of talent in the first five rounds, that’s where most of my picks come from now. Quit your whining Nancy!!

LUKA DONCIC
Best value pick in the draft so far.
I would have taken Luka earlier. Definitely before Rudy, Durant, and Curry. Maybe Curry is a better player, but Luka could be a starting 1-3 while Curry is only a PG and there are a lot of good replacements available.

Other thoughts so far:
1) Rudy was taken way to early lol
2) Durant was taken to early. This will be his first year coming back from an Achilles tear (AKA the worst injury a basketball player can have). Durant is not going to have the athleticism, especially laterally, that he did before. His best case scenario might be similar to 2014 Carmelo (volume scorer on decent efficiency but a defensive liability)

I assume LogGrad98 wants a big to pair with Curry. The best bigs on the board are probably Jokic, Embiid, AD, & Towns.

Embiid anchors a defense and is a good scorer who might be dominant if you spread out the court.
Jokic is an amazing play maker, good scorer, spreads the floor, but isn't a very good defender.
Towns is an elite scorer and floor spreader, but is a below average defender.
Davis is not the best option at any aspect (defender, play maker, scorer, floor spreader) but is very good at all of them and gives roster flexibility as he is great at either PF or C.

My order of preference would be: 1) AD, 2) Embiid, 3) Towns, 4) Jokic.

It is nice to have some sort of sports related stuff to think about (even if it is all just make believe)!

Why not? It is not as if anyone is going to forget about players. Makes the draft more interesting if you can actually discuss strategy or opinion as it takes place (this is why there is coverage of the actual draft). But... if that is the consensus then I will check out of the thread.

This has been a rule exercised for years. Please don’t name names other than who has already been picked.

About the right spot for Doncic imo. Durant... I'm iffy on him. Rudy was craziness, but I can appreciate it.

Feel free to discuss guys already picked check! Halfway into the 1st round not a ton to discuss yet, but that should pick up as the rounds go on.

Also don't mind folks speaking in generalities (like where you mentioned pairing Curry with a big).
