What's new

How has the virus affected you directly?

Good luck, brotha.

We ordered from a legit restaurant Saturday night. Curbside pickup. Tipped 20%. I just ordered a pizza and calzone from a pizza place and they’re delivering. Tipped 20% on that too. Love our town. I want to do this every few days.
Paisano’s? Did they see you tip?

You're flexing on that 20% real hard, eh?

I've been tipping like a NFL cornerback in a strip club.

And I'm telling myself l do this to support the community, not because l don't want to handle money that potentially came from a sick person.

The virus has ****ed me super hard. Got done with a technical program and was going to search for jobs but then this happened. I'm still sending out some applications just in case, but now I'm mostly working on personal projects and hoping that this ends soon.

Been cooking all the meals myself.. just don't trust the takeaways/restaurants... even if I buy something I'd probably have to re-heat everything on the stove anyway just to make sure.

Also having to touch the packaging and throwing them out and washing my hands again.. it's just too much of a hassle..

It's just as quick to whip up something myself.

So I've scattered a few copper lugs around the house and in the cars. One is in my hand when I'm out of the house. Copper does kill virusues on contact over a period of time. Not sure how effective it is at making a difference but copper has been used in medical applications for thousands of years. Door handles and and other fixtures where common in hospitals until stainless steel and cheaper plastics fazed out it's use. Any opinions?

Most here know I have a **** ton of kids. They all participate in sports. Spring is usually our busiest time of year. My 15 year old daughter plays club level soccer. Postponed indefinitely as of now. My 12 year old son plays comp level baseball. His team was supposed to play in two leagues this year. As of now, best case scenario we’re pushed back a month. His team was supposed to go on a once in a lifetime trip to Cooperstown, NY this summer. Cancelled. It’s literally the only year you’re allowed to go as they only have 12U teams. My 9 year old girl is on a dance team. No practices. Who knows what will happen with future scheduled competitions. She also does rec soccer. Postponed indefinitely for now. My 8 year old and 5 year old sons both play little league baseball. At best, pushed back a month. My 3 year old daughter dances at the same place as her sister.
We never thought we’d miss all the craziness from having so many kids playing at the same time. We miss it bad right now.

Copper can be effective against certain parasites and bacterium but I don't think it will do **** against viruses. Plus, it has to be in solution and spayed on a surface or actually touch the organism you want to eradicate. Just carrying it around will likely do nothing. I hear that drinking Windex is highly effective. Saw it in a movie once.

Why don't you think solid copper kills viruses on contact?

Don't sniff that Windex bud.

What do you think scattered copper is going to do? It's not like the virus is a bunch of microscopic vampires.

I spread them around to have easy access to play with in the hand. Perhaps it kills this virus that is in contact with my hand before I transfer it to other surfaces or internally to myself. Like a hand sanitizer more or less.
