Kind of a 180 from "no reason to hell to feel bad". The character growth is impressive in that time span.

No reason to feel bad about getting a stimulus check. That was my point. I can not feel bad about getting one and still feel bad for people losing their jobs. It’s not mutually exclusive.

I got mine today and I put 1700 to pay off debt that I have and my wife used her portion for a security system and window well covers.
We can definitely use the money and live paycheck to paycheck so I think its awesome that we get it.
I just think others need it more than me so they should get more of it. Plus people who need it more getting it will do more to keep the economy going I think because those people HAVE spend it. Many people getting it and not NEEDING it will save it.

I see it as me VS people who aren't responsible. That includes super rich who take advantage or are trust-fund babies that never did anything and also a lot of poor who decide to not contribute. My team are the grinders that make the world better... I don't care if they are poor teacher or Bill Gates.

I'm looking at this the same way. Haven't got mine yet, but when I do initially it's just going to sit in the checking account for a while.

I feel guilty because I got my payment today, but this virus has felt like an economic boom (at least short-term). I am fortunate that my salary hasn't been impacted, but my expenses have plummeted. .

This - plus in 15 years marriage my wife has never had a full time job - for the most part she didn't work at all. Now she's working pretty much seven days of week because of the outbreak in the town she works.
