They are all gonna get stuck with a bunch of TP they don't need. It ain't like the TP factories all shut down. It ain't like we're all ******** ourselves all the sudden. They just bought it up because people were stocking up and thought they could create a shortage. That's like someone trying to create a shortage of pennies. Yeah, you might snatch up most of the pennies for a little while, but who the **** cares? They're ****ing pennies.

More TP is on the way. The funniest thing the hoarders could do is try to buy up all of it for the next month. Like what are they eventually going to do with 10 years worth of TP when they run out of money to create a fake shortage? **** paper is like literally the cheapest kind of paper there is because it's what we use to wipe our **** onto.
 
I thought it was just panic buying and not thinking about what it means for the AverageJoe who only buys in sensible quantities when I run out. Not deliberately creating scarcity for no reason and putting pressure on the fabric of society (which is held together by a thin membrane of loo roll) in a time of crisis. It`s sheer lunacy. For the life of me I cant imagine the thought process of those people. I'm down to my last few rolls and their aren't any on the shelves at moment of typing.

Just to contribute to the theme of the thread; I absolutely loath being called "buddy". I find it incredibly patronizing unless it`s coming from someone who is actually my friend, and even then it irks me slightly.

Another small peeve is that I can`t start threads atm. Does anyone know what threshold i need to reach to do that? I had a thought that mabye we could start a 2K league as many of us are cooped up at home at the moment. Not a big thread starter in the other forums I am involved with but I wanted to start one for that purpose. Thought maybe we could do a draft to select teams and maybe schedule games and do a march madness format or something? What can I say, boredom is the enemy. Any interest at all?
 
This is certainly not a "stupid" pet peeve, but one I've been dealing with for a couple days now. I'm doing a job for a guy that is a borderline hoarder. **** everywhere. To top it off, he has three large, long haired dogs in the house with him and I'm not sure he even owns a vacuum. If he does, it's extremely buried somewhere and hasn't been used in a very, very long time. Dog hair 1/4" thick on the carpet.

I hate that America's funniest home videos always picks the least funny ones to be the finalists for the money
I mean I watch the show and laugh at so many videos...... Then they announce the 3 finalists and they are almost always videos that I didn't find humorous.

Didn’t see this til now. Feel like you’re taking a shot at me for whatever reason. In any case, it probably has a little bit to do with what you said but also is just my sentiment in general. Again, it’s probably an NJ thing. Even as a teacher, with just my BA, I’ll be making 92K in three years. Not ****ing bad for a teacher.

Not a shot at you at all. I was saying that based on you saying your wife has a great job, $100,000 doesn’t seem like a lot of money to you. More along the lines of “it’s all relative. His wife has a really great job that pays her a lot.”
