The official "let's impeach Trump" thread

Nope. That is the only way to truly measure the worth of a treatment modality. Anything else you can interpret however you see fit.

Only a fool would believe that hydroxy is An effective treatment given the facts and data in this study.

The perfect is the enemy of the good and useful. suppose we know of 10,000 people who take treatment x for disease y. Normally 20% of the untreated patients die. None if the 10,000 die.

this would be great news and actionable. Even thought the ideal double blind study was not employed.

thnx captain obvious. And when has that scenario ever played out ???

Why is that your view? The good people at the Lancet and probably every single other scientific publication disagree with you.

It is a hypothetical to make a point, but I think you know that and are just pretending to not understand that.

The point being that you can’t dismiss data that is not from a tightly controlled study.

that’s not any kind of proper scientific study.

Epidemiological studies are proper scientific studies, but there are many things to consider. Read infection's take in the Coronavirus thread.

But the fretting about ppl taking it is pretty absurd, the side effects are predominantly long term use concerns

They were short-term enough to show up in a single hospital visit.

The first is the gold standard. You need time and money to conduct such a study.

There's also the ethical concerns of treating people with something that could be deadly, or not treating them with something known to help them (although I see HCQ in the first camp and not the second).

Does anyone else see the irony in dems fighting for safety precautions that would help reopen the economy faster, while trumps cultists flaunt the rules, Increasing the spread and worsening the economic impact. It is almost like the Dems are fighting to re elect trump and the repubs want him gone.

Also, Dems are fighting for more recovery money into people’s pocketbooks which would improve the economy, while republican leaders are stalling, hurting trumps reelection chances? It is almost like the Dems are fighting to re elect trump and the repubs want him gone?

I sometimes wonder if Trump is a democratic “Manchurian President,” secretly planted to destroy the Republican Party so that liberals can control the country for the next generation.
