Most cops are very conservative and the conservative party in power is constantly attacking the press and telling them they are lying and creating problems. A lot of cops hate the media and think they are a lying liberal agenda. They are the problem to these cops.

I dont completely agree with it because I dont understand it. But this country choosing corporations over people is why some of this is happening from what I am reading. They are attacking this. There are other issues such as the fact that private property is holding black people down and they were locked out from acquiring it and held down because of it is also causing that.

Its insane that anyone supported the Boston Tea Party! Am I right??

Bro, most of these people aren't out there for Floyd. They're opportunists that are taking advantage of the situation to loot. Arming people with the idea that this is OK is dangerous.

Have you submitted all of your field notes to the editor? How many hours in the field do you think you’ve logged at this point? How many interviews? Did you utilize any other effective tactics for getting all these facts of yours? How many Pulitzer Prizes do you think are coming your way?

I disagree.

I would be peacefully protesting in SLC if I was there. I was protesting when the police in SLC shot someone and refused to release their footage and claimed he was innocent by their own investigation. I have hundreds of friends in SLC protesting. Maybe there are others doing what you claim but I dont think its the majority or close. Many do have different ideas of what they are upset about or what they want, that is pretty normal.

I promise you would get violent if pushed enough and treated unfairly enough and tried many other things for generations to fix it. But yet you are still having your friends and family arrested on false charges, murdered by police without cause, not allowed the same basic human rights as your neighbor because of your color.

I honestly dont understand all of it and it makes me uncomfortable and worried about safety of people. But the murder of someone in broad day light screaming for help is a much worse to me and is happening a lot. The system and people that even allowed him to get to this point is a huge issue. I am simply trying to listen and understand and do my part to make things better.

When I go to the protest I only go to help protect the people and ensure they are allowed to protest because often times they are not.

Its also not okay that they are trying to peacefully protest in many places and not allowed to. Its not okay that the police are starting violent things and egging on the protesters then arresting them when they react or lose their tempers. People are outraged for a reason and they deserve to be. Yes their actions are unreasonable but so is how they have been treated.

Just so we're on the same page, I have no problem with people protesting. Hell, block traffic or destroy a police car if that's what you gotta do.

I'm talking about those looting other innocent people's businesses or burning them down or destroying innocent people's cars. These are the POS I'm talking about. Do not lump them in with the protestors cause I stand with them, not the mob.

What if you have been protesting peacefully your whole life and nothing has changed? Is it ever justified to get violent?

Is it justified that cop car got destroyed after it tried to run peaceful protesters over? Was it justified to destroy the guys car that shot an arrow at someone in an attempt to murder them and the police let him go? These are the things I have been reading and hearing. I am not completely sure but I can at least see their side.

Well, I would say 99% of the people out there are out there for Floyd, and the 1% are out there distracting everyone from the issue (a justice system that has failed the Black people of our country). If we could address what the 99% are protesting (to me the big issues to start with are ending the war on drugs and holding police more accountable with community reviews) then the 1% would have no cover.

My take: opportunistic people come in all shades. Some steal, some burn, some fight. They all are scummy and should be sent to an island for some Lord of the Flies action.

Many of the businesses that have been burned down or looted are owned by minorities.

Yes. But attacking, or burning random people's businesses down or looting them is something so ****ing moronic and not justified. Do you think that piece of **** behavior is justified?
