Best Places to Eat in Utah Thread

Wife and I got sandwiches for the first time from Jersey Mike's last night. I had the Ultimate Italian on rosemary bread. It was pretty good. I'd eat it again..

Does Salt Lake have a good Indian place?
I’ve heard Saffron Valley is good, but have never been. Royal India is good (Sandy). The best is probably Kohinoor in Orem, though there’s a new Indian place in St. George that’d say is better.

My wife really likes Wild Ginger. I was good with it in the beginning but have kind of soured on it recently. There is a Chinese place on 5400 S 3200 W in a strip mall called Szechwan Express that is my all time favorite. Their Kung Pow chicken and chicken in orange sauce are my favorites. You should give them a try.
That's pretty close to me. I will check it out

If I was to make my own fry sauce, how would you do it? Online says it’s 1/3 ketchup and 2/3 mayo.

Sound right? What variations of this do you love?
That sounds right to me for basic fry sauce. Always want more mayo than ketchup. I like a little pickle relish in mine. Some people like a little bbq. Sometimes I like a little bit of honey in there too

Thanks for all the suggestions on fry sauce. Gonna start doing these in a month or two once I lose another 10-20 pounds.

Just ordered some takeout from that Szechwan express place. Wife is in her way to pick it up.

I will give my thoughts shortly

What did you order?
Sweet and sour chicken combo, teriyaki chicken combo and egg rolls.

I was pretty disappointed. The wontons (came in the combos) didn't have anything at all in them. I don't understand that one. They sucked bad. The sweet and sour was ok but I like wild gingers sweet and sour chicken way better. The teriyaki chicken was the best part of the meal but again, I like wild gingers better.
The egg rolls were really bad. The fried rice was average.
And to top it off, no crab rangoons on the menu (my favorite thing to get at wild ginger)

It was worth a try but I will just stick with wild ginger going forward.
