LOL ... AK averaged just under 3 steals / game in less than 30 mpg and 15 ppg that included a game he had only 2 points -- he played even better in the big games. No way, if he's used right, that we should let him go ... and yes, he needs to start. Hayward isn't ready and CJ just is not as good.

Fixed.I like AK as much as the next AK apologist, but I don't see any point in a non-contending/rebuilding team to sign a 30 year old veteran such as Okur.
I have no need for Indian silk.People who wants Big al to stay in the team, why they dont want AK i dont understand? They say we have inexperienced big man, Kanter and Favors so Big al should stay no matter what but we dont even have a legit SF. Hayward is much better at SG than SF and CJ is too weak to guard strong SFs in the league. For me it is much more logical to let AK stay than Big al. At least he wont take 15 million a year anymore. A player like AK with mid level contract is like an indian silk which is something you cant find as much as you try.
Unless we decide to be a run and gun team, there is no reason to keep AK around. Let him go back to The Motherland.
I get the pros and cons of keeping AK. But this is what I don't get -- everyone saying he needs a run-and-gun team to succeed. Russia, to my knowledge has never been a run and gun team.
Small? The Gasols are small and unathletic? Most of the teams had 7-footers. Maybe less athletic than NBA, not as many black players, but not small.
