I've been draft obsessed the past couple of weeks and I've been watching a lot of basketball. Got me thinking about Lamar Peters, a guy who went undrafted last year.
Dude was thought to have a shot of being a lottery pick once upon a time, but never really learned how to be an efficient college player and being undersized caused him to get overlooked.
He's definitely more talented than JWF and he should be brought over on a 2-way deal. Has one of the nastiest step-back packages I have seen in quite some time with how quickly he can change pace and stop on a dime. He's a flashy passer who can really penetrate due to his handle and find the open man. If he's cleaned up the inefficiency in his game, he's a really exciting player. According to his G-League stats, he's really honed his shooting ability 40% on 9 attempts per game. He still can't get to the foul line and is turnover prone though.
At one point the Jazz "really loved" Peters (this account belonged to Tony Jones at the time when he was a Trib writer).
