Outside of trading up for someone they have their eye on, the mock draft boards are all over the place about what position and who the Jazz are going to take at 23.

Listening to the sports talk shows, they are all going on and on about how this is a boring draft with no stars. But everyone said that about the draft years that included Giannis, Kwahi, and Donovan Mitchell - so you never know.

These are players whos names have popped up in association with the Jazz and in mock drafts.
Which one do you hope Utah takes?

Looking at all of these I realize my top hopes are with Maledon, Aleksej and Bolmaro - I guess I'm biased against Americans. Or believe we are more likely to hit bigger with a foreign, less scouted player. I dunno. The foreign style of game seems to be what the Raptors play, and what the Jazz play too - Bogdanovic and Ingles both came in and did better than anybody expected.

Pokusevski intrigues the hell out of me. 7' tall with guard skills. Unfortunately I think he'll be gone before we pick.

I got Jaden McDaniels. I like his size and athleticism. He's quick as well and has the capabilities to guard 1-4. One other thing that has impresses me about him is his ability to naturally breeze through the draft interviews without a hitch.

I see the talent but I think he’s got massive bust potential

Isn’t Polevski two years away from being two years away? We can’t just wait that long...

Isaac Okoro

Not even sure how we get it done, but the kid is special. He's the type guy you put next to Donovan for the next 10 years and good things happen.

On that list I like Bey the most I think... I am hoping we take Bane doe. Would love to get a second pick for a big wing though.

Paul Reed (buy a pick - probably impossible as they are being all treated as valuable), and Woodward (I have been convinced).

Locke keeps saying that only half of the players drafted become rotational players. I would counter that by saying there are 30 teams and 150 starters in the NBA. The starters have to come from somewhere and if you are not a free agent destination spot, then your starters have to come from the draft. So, most teams have a 50/50 chance of sucking or being good because of the draft, because the spots have to be filled even briefly.

I actually believe that every 4 to 5 years you have a draft class where a large bulk of the players fill the role of average/above average starters for most teams and I think this is a draft this year to fill out your roster for future years. This years draft will feature players who will eventually bounce around and become the supply of middling free agents for years to come - just get 2 pretty good ones this draft - please.

I would hope Neismith, but he will be long gone.
He apparently has a foot issue... stranger things have happened based on medicals.

I think if McDaniels is there you kinda have to take him. I’m not a big believer but he has the pedigree... the adjustment he had to make kinda makes sense with how his college season played out. I’ve liked what I heard in interviews about working and development through the g league. If I felt comfortable about the character stuff I’d take a chance there but I’d be sick about passing on guys like Bane, Woodard, Tillman who I think can contribute sooner rather than later.

Adding to this... his brother had a fairly decent rookie year and likely passed some wisdom on about the realities of what Jaden will need to do. Younger brothers are usually fairly tough too because big brother beat em in the driveway for years. I think he has a low chance of working out in a BIG way but I think it’s not impossible. I’d give him a better shot at working out than Poku.

Just please no Tre Jones (tre’s have not worked out well for us) and no Nico Mannions... name the last unathletic, short, alligator armed, redhead that was good in the nba? I would pink slip DLJZ on the spot for that pick.
