Is Andre Roberson a free agent? I know he didn't play last year, but that could be a good signing.
I would give him a shot. Even if he’s just 10 minutes of defense against LeBron.

Yes. I mean, this is everything we kept Exum for 8 years for. He’s a bigger Exum with less offense (which is easy to hide).

If only we could combine him and Conley into one person.

Shaq Harrison is probably a pipe dream at this point but the alternatives arent great.
Probably is. And the alternatives would be an Andre Roberson. Unfortunately, I believe the FO would be interested in neither. If it were up to me, I’d be waiving a number of those end of the bench guys and signing both of those MFers.

Just three months ago we ran a six man rotation and gave Royce 35 min a game in the playoffs and now we are worried about running out of minutes to give. What a strange world we are living in

Lolz... you’ve obviously never panned for gold. The best technique is to dip your pan in once and stare at that dirt all day. Other dirt is the same as the dirt in your pan... you don’t need to keep digging.

Here's an hour and a half of tape. Someone let us know.

A few things I see:
  • A lot better team than individual defensive player -- gets blown by frequently, but can often recover with length and speed
  • Quick, active hands
  • Looks more comfortable with (10-15 ft) runner/floater than jump shot
  • Jump shot form doesn't look terrible when in balance, but sometimes seems to have a tough time getting great balance on it
  • Not very good touch from any distance -- longshot to become a good shooter
  • Fearless -- loves to drive -- shot often blocked, but OK results overall -- too often keeps ball for himself (as PG) to get last shot
  • OK floor general -- certainly not a high level distributor
  • Headiness and energy an important part of his impact -- will be interesting to see if this can be as impactful at higher level
  • Decent athlete (though frame doesn't look quite as good as I'd expect from 6-4 1/2, 210 pounds), but won't stand out at pro level
  • One-footed jump on at rim allows for some decent highlight plays

So according to Tony Jones we aren't doing anything else in free agency. Apparently we love to suck at guarding the perimeter.

I'm surprised we are keeping NWG. Perimeter defense was a glaring hole in the playoffs. We should get at least one wing defender in case Oni dissapoints.

All three of the guys that GS waived are more interesting than NWG to me. At very least churn contracts to get more non guaranteed years on the back... just give yourself a shot at finding a cheap contributor.
