Are the Jazz going to trade Rudy?

If they decide to not get haywooded up the *** again and they dont get the extension then they need to trade him. Something is better than nothing.

Some teams that may be interested would be Atlanta, Chicago, maybe NJ, LAC, Toronto, and Washington.
Atlanta is stacked with rotational goodies. Bogie, Collins, Heurter, Reddish, Capella

Last I saw was TJ saying yesterday on Twitter that both sides are actively talking. We shall see what happens cause this extension is a major pinnacle point for the jazz org going forward as to what our identity will be for the next 5 years.

Jazz have to sign Rudy
That gives Jazz two legit all star players
Don't think either is MVP caliber but you need all star players to advance
Then hope you can add or have another one on the roster

Both sides are negotiating. That shows intent by both parties to hammer out a deal. If Rudy just wanted to leave, he'd say, "I'm leaving." If the Jazz didn't want to extend Rudy, they'd say, "We're not interested in offering an extension."

I seriously doubt Rudy will get more money on the market than he'd get from the Jazz.

Eh, I would guess that Rudy doesn't get the super max, but gets more than Donovan is making. I can see Rudy loading up on options like All Star and DPOY bonuses as well. I'll bet the dude has two pages of those things he will negotiate.

Seriously though, some of you are becoming so tiresome that reading this board is like pulling teeth.

What is the deadline for signing the extension?

I suspect we are getting close to the cut off with the season beginning. I mean, preseason is just 2 weeks away.

Obviously, if we don't get a deal done (option #1 in most people's minds) then a trade is a pretty practical route whether that's boring or not. Every week that passes makes me a little less comfortable.

I’d want it done before training camp if I was him.

BITE YOUR TONGUE.

Here's what going to happen:
1. Rudy is going to sign an extension.
2. The Jazz are going to win the Championship the next 2 out of 3 years.
3. Rudy is going to play his whole career in a Jazz uniform.
4. His number will hang from the rafters after it's retired.
5. He will have his statue put up between John and Karl's - it will obviously be bigger and be of him doing a reverse slam dunk.

Here’s what’s going to happen:
1. We’re going to pay Rudy more than Donovan and people will complain it is an overpay. It won’t be.
2. We will come close to winning a championship with the Donny and Rudy build, but won’t. It’ll be a lot of fun though.

I'm hopeful they'll be able to agree on an extension but I'm slightly terrified he's going to walk next offseason and we'll get absolutely nothing for him, just like Hayward and Millsap
