Most important (P)PPP and other end of roster players for 2020?

Which bottom of the roster player will be most important for the Jazz this season?

The Jazz have been loading up with the bottom half of their roster with players who might Potentially provide a Positive Physical Presence -- thus (P)PPP-- for Jazz lineups. In other words, these are players whose role, if they ever do get playing time, will likely be to help the Jazz with things like size, athleticism, defense, and rebounding relative to their position. Whether they get playing time may (depending on the player) depend partly on their shooting, but they weren't acquired specifically because of their shooting. In fact, we have a full lineup's worth of such players :
  • Azibuike
  • Morgan
  • Brantley
  • Oni
  • Forrest
Which of these players do you anticipate being most important (likely getting the most playing time) this year? (I'll add NWG and Hughes to the poll, though I don't consider them in the PPPP category, since they're also bottom of the roster guys). Choose one or two for the poll. Rank/justify/argue about them in your comments.

(Since we have plenty of discussion on acquiring/keeping these guys on the roster elsewhere on the board, I hope this thread won't turn into another argument about that.)

EDIT: Oops, listed Oni twice, poll editing doesn't seem to allow that to be fixed

I really wanted to choose Brantley for one of my two choices, maybe mostly because he'd provide the most unique physical presence compared to what the Jazz otherwise have available. But I just couldn't do it. So I stuck with the safe Morgan and Oni.

Same. There are just too many people ahead of him in the rotation right now. His size, length and ability to anticipate make a difference to our perimeter defense though.

As for a ranking, I'd probably go:

1. Morgan (Quin trusts him -- that's the most important thing)
2. Oni (not sure Quin trusts him, but his path to playing time seems relatively clear)
3. Azibuike (Injuries + I think Jazz will really want to get him some playing time)
4. Brantley (possible if greater improvement than anticipated)
5. Forrest (if long-term need at PG, including defense)
6. Hughes (don't see where playing time comes from unless a couple of injuries)
7. NWG (can see a few minutes here and there to fill a short-term need, but think Jazz may prefer Forrest for long-term need)

Morgan is probably the best player, but Oni is the most important. He needs to be good at what he’s supposed to be good at.

Oni is so important I voted for him twice without a second of hesitation
If Oni ain’t good we are in trouble. I like him... I wish he had played more. He needs to be ahead of Niang in the rotation imo. We know what George’s brings Oni needs minutes from day one.

Forrest. if he can become 90% of Shaq Harrison like Cy suggested, he could be a major difference maker. I guess Oni too but our FO has so much faith in him that got me hesitated.

Well, I can't envision him playing minutes with the starters or in important situations. He's not going to surpass Royce no matter how much Royce is getting cooked. Whoever the 9th guy is, they're going to be in the bench unit. Like with Conley, Clarkson, Royce/Ingles, and Favs. Niang fits more naturally in that lineup IMO and he was a big positive playing this role last year.

But maybe you get Oni minutes for the sake of him getting minutes anyways. Reality is, we need to trade one of the scores/ball handlers for a defender. Clarkson, Conley, Bogey...it's redundant and causes chemistry issues to have all 3.

I know it's petty but it's Azubuike not Azibuike. As far as voting goes Oni seems like a safe bet, he already showed potential. I also voted Hughes but that's just my wishful thinking cause I really like his jumper and hope he will be a positive surprise.

Thanks. I've been having a terrible time spelling his name right. I should be more careful.
