How many regular season games will be played in the 2011-12 season

I think we're on the track of missing the first two weeks. Hoping they figure something out once they realize the paychecks won't be rolling in.

Even if the first two or three weeks are cancelled, there's a good chance they'll squeeze the missed games into the season, and we still might get 82 games.
 
It seems there's nothing but a couple percentage points separating the two sides at this point. If they can't work that out and get this season started then they're just a bunch of silly little babies.

I think I'm going to have to start following football.

They should just cancel the games. 82 games in the span they must play is already insane.
 
I voted 55-65. I think that is about accurate. The players are going to have to make more concessions IMO. I am not saying that because I think their offer to the owners is unfair. I am saying that because I don't think the owners will budge on 50/50.

This is what I am think also.
 
It's not a good combo when the lead guy on the players' side is due to retire and has a legacy to consider, and then his top lieutenant is a player close to retiring who has made his money, represents his friends, and has only experienced life in a robust (NBA) economy. Add to that, their congregation is mostly made up of robots that can't begin to process financial complexities who only know 2008 as something that happened to other people.

I'm hopeful, but not naive. Accepting a losing hand and taking the setback is the only sensible play. But money makes people irrational, emotional, and stupid. This has always been true. I have great doubts Billy and Derek will defy history on this.
 
Its going to be settled on Monday. We will get a full season. The players r giving up like 80 million a week once the games start to be canceled. And if there only 160 million apart, I see it getting done. (atleast I hope, I hate this darn lock out!!!)
