So the latest lawsuit filed by the corrupt republican politicians basically is trying to make it so Mike pence simply chooses who wins the election.
No need to even have people vote anymore apparently. Simply let the vice president (who was on the ballot mind you) determine the winner of elections from now on. Great idea, ****ing idiot.

So let's say that lawsuit worked and pence simply disregarded all the votes and picked trump as president. Would those of you who voted for trump be happy about that? (I know none of you will actually answer this question but I would hope that Trump is less important to you than democracy is)
That is something that Russia or china would do.
Democracy would effectively be over with. Those in power could simply choose how long they want to stay in power and the will of the people would mean nothing.

I think Republicans are building a new narrative. The idea here is interesting in how stupid it is. They are claiming that because courts are dismissing their cases that there is no way for them to present the facts of their allegations.

News flash!!! HOT TIP!!! Facts are facts. They can be presented inside, outside, on the other side, backwards, forwards, whatever, if you have facts you scream them from the mountain tops. People are acting like some court has to first give these baseless claims a hearing so that the election fraud allegations can be sprung on us in some dramatic reality TV fashion. They are literally acting like it is an injustice that this spectacle not be allowed to proceed.

Facts and evidence are not protected until trial, you are free to discuss facts and evidence at any point, inside or outside a courtroom (obviously subject to a gag order which is not relevant in this discussion, because none have been issued) before a judge allows it to be entered into official testimony in a trial. You DO NOT need a judge's approval before speaking the truth.

So if Trump's lawyers or campaign have any evidence they do no harm to any legal case or any appeal or anything at all by just presenting that evidence. On the other hand, they lose many avenues of redress the longer they wait to present their evidence. Yet they present no evidence. Yet they present no evidence.
 
So ten senators have joined in saying they will challenge the results and ask for a full audit in disputed states for two weeks until Jan. 20. All for show of course and will change nothing.

Because that hasn’t been done by those states or anything countless times already.

Politicians are pond scum. Both parties have been guilty in that endeavor, but Republicans right now are carrying the torch for idiocy and I’ll never vote for anyone contributing to this lunacy.

Conversely, I actually give Mitt some credit for seeing this from afar and getting ahead of it while his peers say and do anything to stay in office and pad their investments.

I have briefly looked at this.

Lin Wood did a rally in Georgia about a month ago, after he and Sidney Powell were essentially run off from the Trump camp. He is from Georgia, a citizen and votger in Georgia. I wanted to know why he was advocating voters not vote in the upcoming GA senate runnoff. He was outing both GA R candidates as swampsters who would not make any difference even if elected.

Further exploring, I found his GA lawsuit online..... the very papers he filed. If he believes his effort will be productive, he believes the runoof is unnecessary because he can prove both candidates acdtually won more than 50% in the Nov 3 election.

He is campaigning to run for office on the tide of dissatisfied voters, with the voting irregularities no longer in place.

As it seems to be shaping up on th3e challenge, he believes there is enough proof which courts have so far failed to permit in consideration, that anyone who does not act to stop the steal is essentially acting in treason. I don't think he wants Pence to be the first on the block for the big chop.

still, on the obverse of this whole scene is the fact that the Dems have had a war game scenario, where if they lost they would be doing all the same ****, for whatever time it takes, to overthrow a Trump Presidency. And there are, per my information, hired..... mercenary..... groups in significant numbers, ready to riot on command if needed. Plus a significant number of online talking pointers to dominate the webz. We know the main Media is all in, as well as the leadership and maybe a majority of the ranks of federal and state employees and schoolteachers organized.

I don't think Trump has any sort of counterpart to all that. Lin Wood is an outsider on the Trump efforts now, and likely to lose in any court. Sidney Powell's efforts will similarly fail, but with downstream fallout that will mean the Dominion and similar machnines will be disallowed in the future, along with absentee ballots without signatures and driverslicence and residence proof.

Most of what Trump has done will be undone quickly, and we will have even more disruptive authoritarian orders all over hell.

I just don't think this whole plan will succeed in the long run. You folks who are all for it will find ;yourselves in the dustbins of history in the aftermath.

If there is a climate crisis (which I don't believe) this turn will mean nothing will be done about it. Nothing effective.

Population numbers will surely decline, maybe drastically, and we will have the worst depression in history.

So I listened to the whole tape.

The phone conference was a "settlement meeting" scheduled by lawyers to end a lawsuit. Trump said he's be willing to end it, provided any of a list of about ten kinds of problematic..... eh.... illegal..... votes....... were reviewed and came up with the win. Otherwise, he would persist in wanting everything adjudicated in the court. So the perp didn't settle. He still may face serious charges.

The lawsuit could be construed, as most lawsuits are as some kind of a "threat" or demand, but it is all in the legal purview of the justice system. Per the laws on the books at least.

I have read some of the lawsuits entirely, and imo laws were broken, and in that sense, if there is probable intent to tamper with the election, it could be construed as "treason" depending on motives, but more likely as "criminal" if there is provable personal gain financially or politically.

Trump is acting, so far, under the provisions of law.

Lin Wood strikes me as more unreserved and more of a muckraker perhaps, but in his court filings he is succinct and grounded. I can see how his public show works for him. The courts will certainly get public notice.
