I swear I still wonder at times if Trump really did have instructions from Putin to “just do as much damage as possible in the time allotted”.

I posted a few days ago about how trump has hurt my relationships with people and then someone (i think it was laundries?) asked me why that would be the case. Well this is why. Trump supporters are trying to destroy the country I love. Kinda hard to just look the other way on this.
Right there with ya brotha... have had serious discussion with so many people close to me and lost a ton of respect for people close to me. Wife's family is hardcore republican and its lead to some seriously contentious discussions in our household. Even some of my kid's friends were spewing BS to me they hear from their parents... I had to set them straight. They truly believe the election was completely stolen... its amazing that they heard that enough from their parents that they believe it as an indisputable fact.

Lots of people looking at me sideways these days... **** em.

As you guys probably recall since I made a thread about it, I pretty much cut ties with my father back in 2016 and his support of Trump contributed to it. Sounds crazy I know, but my vision of what Trump represents was as clear then as it is now and I couldn't reconcile with my own father being that kind of person. Here we are today and I wish I could say I didn't see this coming.

I'm sorry man. I've never been passionate about politics. I voted for Trump in 2016 and was gutted about it. I hated it, but rationalized it. He spent 4 years proving who I thought he might be... glad I didn't make the same mistake this time around but disappointed by those around me that still Stan for the guy. It has been shocking and I've had some good conversations with folks but mostly its been extremely disappointing to discuss these things.

My dad supported trump for a long time. About 4 months ago he stopped supporting trump thank god. I think the reports of trump calling the military losers was what did it. My dad fought in Vietnam is a proud vet. Im very happy that he is no longer a trumper. He still thinks democrats are evil and is still a republican but at least he finally realized that trump sucks.

LOL, Trump's ask on video for the protestors to go home was the worst apology/plea I've ever seen.

Are we sure 2021 isn't 2020: Volume 2?
That ************* doubled down... the only thing people heard was "the election was stolen and everyone know it".

He gives zero ****s what happens to anyone other than him.

Thanks HH. I have friends who voted for Trump but never bought into his hate and like you didn't vote for him the second time. I also have friends who still support him. I try not to discuss politics with them but have dissolved my relationship with several of them. There might be some people out there who continue to support him because they think it benefits them financially or in some other tangible way but that excuse gets thinner by the hour.

I truly think that they didn't fire rubber bullets at these guys because they're not confident they wouldn't fire back with real bullets.

And I'm all for a peaceful resolution to this, but if this were BLM, we'd be seeing heads cracked.
