It should be obvious. I don't think he makes good decisions with the ball. He over dribbles and takes too much time to get into actions. He doesn't make reads well on the fly. He takes unnecessarily difficult and/or low percentage looks. His defensive awareness is poor, although that might just be an effort thing.
He's fine on the ball. He isn't elite on the ball, but nothing shows "poor BBIQ."

He makes plenty of reads well on the fly. He's not a great pure PG by any means. He does makes the pass that leads to the assist plenty.

The best offensive players are often asked to take those tough shots and dribble out situations. Knocking him for it is silly.

Your description is more "inconsistent PG" than poor BBIQ.

The hell Niang. Gobert on a midget didn't need a double team. Can't afford mistakes like that.

Did they take Mitchell out entirely?

Bummer.

Was hoping the Conley/Gobert lineup would dominate them, but way too many mistakes on defense to start the 4th.

If you believe that, agree to disagree. It's obvious to me that Mitchell is a talented player that consistently makes poor decisions. If you consider him to be a smart basketball player, your bar for a smart basketball player is extremely low. Ingles and Conley are examples of smart basketball players. They change the game through their decisions and ability to read the game. They are miles ahead of where Mitchell is in these areas.

Well we changed it up and ran a double at him that quarter and it worked. Why didn't we do that in the 2nd quarter? That's the point. Do something different. Trap, double, at least it's a different defensive look. And it worked.

Quin is good at halftime adjustments, terrible at adjustments during the quarter.
Eh, I don't think we were that different on Jokic and he still found ways out.

It's really hard to make defensive adjustments on the fly. We are just realizing our potential as a defensive team. We just mastered our default defensive system and are tinkering with the zone.
