A trade idea

I am not in love with this trade but it is interesting.

Jazz trade al Jefferson and raja bell to Philly for Andre iguadala and maurice speights.

Why Philly does it -

They get rid of iggy and that seems to be something they try to do a lot. The do get a ver interesting pairing of Elton brand (who is playing some basketball again) and al Jefferson. The could start holiday, bell, turner, brand, Jefferson. Then have Lou Williams, Jodi Meeks, Thad young, and Spencer hawed come off the bench. That is a very solid rotation top to bottom good trade for Philly.

Why the jazz do it -

They get their elite wing player they have always wanted. Granted the contract is 1 more year then we would want. Speights is n interesting big man that would give us a young but extremely talented front lines. No to mention that we get rid of bell. The only serious negative that I have see is jazz are rebuilding can iggy fit into the rebuild?

Rotation

Harris, fa resign (preferably Watson), burks

Iggy or Hayward, burks

Iggy or Hayward, miles

Millsap (until one of the young guns is ready), speights

Favors or kanter or okur (who ever wins the job in camp)

Okur and miles are gone after this season to make room for the players coming in from the next draft.

That is not a good trade at all Iggy would stunt the growth of Hayward and Burks. Iggy can't shoot, and that's all he does. He's a isolation ripe player who isn't all that efficient offensively, and to top it off he is way over paid.

Quick question... Why do you have Iggy starting at both wing positions?

I think that Igoudala would actually fit quite well in a Jazz offense, presuming that Corbin remains to its Flex-Offense roots. I was just thinking how funny a SG/SF combo of Igoudala and Kirilenko would be.

Regardless, this is the sort of trade we would do once we grow our young players a little bit. Right now we don't know our teams ceiling, so its best that we stay put and develop them for now. 2 years down the road, this is certainly a trade I would consider, despite my love for Big Al (depending on whether we even need Igoudala at that point or not)

Actually it is an or meaning I wasn't sure if you start iggy at the 2 and Hayward at the 3 or Hayward at the 2 and iggy at the 3. Their skill sets are best for Hayward at the 2 and iggy as a point forward.

I agree iggy would be a great but then again we don't know what offense Corbin is going to run. But iggy and ak would be awful. I like iggy Hayward because I think haywards shooting will open things up for iggy to drive and score.

I dont love Big Al so much but i think this trade isn't good enough in the sense that Iguodala isnt a good fit for us. Even though getting Speights and releasing Raja bell sounds tempting, Iguodala will be like a catalizor to Hayward. A guy like Granger would fit better to us and we can play Hayward as 2.

And i dont know if they do need Jefferson while they have Elton Brand.

I think that would be true if Hayward was a guy like Ray allen, but Iggy isnt a kind of player who plays for the team. He likes fast breaks, isolations , he would do better in a team like Phoenix but not us. With Hayward - AK we would have much better pass traffic and that would fit our strategy more. But i dont know if Corbine will try another system or not.

Andre's turned himself into a very good defender, gets to the line ok, and rebounds very well for a wing player. He's not a world beater, but the dude would instantly be the Jazz's best all-around wing player.

With that said, there's no need for the Jazz to make a move just yet. Too many question marks to be making a move like this. Gotta wait it out a little unless there's a no-brainer offered. This doesn't qualify.

I think i like this better holiday, ai,, nocioni for millsap, harris, memo ( rights to tomic)

76 ers gets some vets with playoff experience , while letting turner and young develop. And they also save a ton of money.

Utah gets there pg of the future and the missing piece to there rebuild. While strenghting there bench with nocioni.

Utah looks great with holiday, Hayward, AI, favors, Jefferson with Burks, miles, nocioni, & kanter off the bench. 76ers look great to Harris, Turner, young, millsap, brand with Williams, meeks, sleights, okur off the bench

You know, the red lines underneath words when you type them mean something, and if you're typing from a phone, maybe you shouldn't.

Sixers laugh at your deal. Iguodala has three years left, so the Jazz probably aren't going to look in his direction.

You assume there will be an NBA... ; ;

Iggy is someone who could help complete a contending team, not a rebuilding team. And when it comes to making trades with Philly, Holiday is definitely the guy we would be going after, not Iguodala. In fact, Holiday is one of the only great, up and coming PG's we might actually have a shot at trading for, cause obviously guys like Rose and Wall are untouchable.

To get Holiday I expect we would have to give up Kanter or Favors.

We dont need a top level pg anymore, since we wont be able to afford it anyway. But a guy like brandon knight or holiday would be good

This is one of the better trade ideas thats been posted because its realistic. Jazz have had Iggy in the trade talks for a couple of years. I also like it because its controversial. If this trade was executed, I feel we would be getting an excellent piece at the shooting guard position which we havent had since the days of Hornacek. However It would be hard loosing a guy like Big Al in hopes that we could regain his talent throught an Enes Kanter that this league (including the Jazz) knows so little about, or D-Fave. But If it was on the table, I would be able to hold myself back from pulling the trigger on this one.

Actually i want Granger he is my number one target and the player that i think solves a huge piece of the puzzle but i dont see then taking Millsap and Miles for granger. If we offer big Al and bell i dont see getting a good big man back like SPeights. that is why i went with the Philly trade.
