Deshaun Watson - Allegations

So 11 women have come forward. Is it common for one lying woman to be followed by 10 more, or is this a sign Watson isn’t the good dude we thought he was?

If 11 women are lying about this then it's a helluva messed up world we live in.

Maybe, 2 or 3 women make this up but 11?

Ah, hell no.

I have to read more about this though. Maybe some are coming forward to try and benefit from him and his money. That's ****ed up if so.

After reading more about it I'm thinking (not saying cause I have no idea what actually happened) Watson got a Happy Ending from a masseuse who willingly gave it and now are outspoken.

What do you guys think? Do you think sex workers are just ordinary people doing a job or are the victims to either the sex industry, legal system or both?

I think most people choosing to work at a massage parlor knowing they’ll be giving happy endings are normal people choosing to do the job. Same with a porn star. And some prostitutes.
I think the rest are probably victims; whether it be of sex trafficking, drugs addictions, or whatever.

Pretty much how I feel too.

If even one of these is true his career may be over
But not so sure anymore for high profile athletes

Kobe's was a lot stronger case, settled out of court, and did nothing to his career. Important/popular people are above the law.
Ya but it was one person. Heard on first take that in the end there are going to be 24 women accusing him of sexual assault. He has to get all 24 women to settle out of court. If he’s guilty, he’s screwed for sure I think. That is the difference between Watson and Kobe.

Along the same lines as what Beer said. If it happened today it would end differently.

I've always felt, very strongly, that based on Kobe's response statement alone he is a sexual abuser. I don't even need to believe one word of what the victim claimed outside of what Kobe confirmed in his response statement. I have a hard time with all the praise and honor that has been bestowed upon him for dying in a helicopter crash.

I certainly feel for the other victims, especially the children. But Kobe? Nah. Doesn't make me happy, but it also doesn't break my heart.

Nothing in that post says he was joking, either he’s an idiot because it’s a message board or he’s an idiot if he thinks I was implying that it wasn’t a big deal. So he’s an idiot.

Good call. I think we need to require a disclaimer on all posts containing sarcasm or that are intended to be funny in nature.

I can’t tell if you’re teasing me or being serious.

That's fair, but it also at least superficially at least, Kobe was able to make changes in his life and become a different person. We'll obviously have no idea what he was like behind closed doors but if he his public persona as he got older mirrored his personal then I am inclined to believe in his redemption.
