Trade deadline discussion

just don't get these rebuilding teams sometimes. Like OKC collecting a whopping 17 first round picks, for what exactly? they have so many first round picks now that it become worthless to them. They will have to give them away at some point or forced to waste them on some random international prospects that will never come over.
OKC is doing it right... those picks will get used in trade for established guys or to move up the draft to get a guy they like. Boston collected picks but Ainge is an ******* and no one likes him so people didn't want to do deals with him. He also over valued those picks. Presti won't have those issues.

Hell Presti is so good he can't even build a team bad enough to tank... they win more than Sacramento, Minny, and NO who are actually trying.

The buyout market will actually be pretty good this year I think.

Presti definitely nails the scouting department. Moses Brown and Lu Dort are talents that teams won't be able to find with their first round picks.

Who is most likely to get cut if we go after a buyout guy? I'm assuming we've got to have at least one unguaranteed

So Houston could have just had Levert and ends up with KO and a pick swap that will never convey. Tillman the genius strikes again. This saves them money... if KO will take a buyout to save money then Tillman will do it. He is the worst... just the worst.

Should have just taken Simmons, Thybulle, and 3 picks instead of the 4 picks and Oladipo. But they couldn’t get Maxey so that was a non starter lol.

Is it the chicken or the egg? My assumption is that Quinn doesn't play them because they might possibly lose a 20 point lead in under 4 minutes. From what I have seen, I don't blame him.
If they are that bad, replace them with GLeague All Stars. Quin is going to kill our rotation players before the season is over.

Imagine though if you are Philly and don't have Harden because you needed to keep Maxey. Lots of stupid to go around.

Yeah, Hou FO is dumb AF for not keeping Levert and Allen.

I think it is too early to pass judgement. One of the benefits of the Oladipo trade is that the rockets got worse which was the goal. Their 1st rd pick is top 4 protected otherwise the thunder can do a pick swap which is a big deal when the top 4 is this stacked. If the rockets get a top 4 pick then they definitely made the right decision.

I'm not complaining about Favors. I know his personality is a big reason for our consistency this year.

But I do think he's overpaid.
1 less year or a little less than full MLE and we could duck the tax this year... again... DL is just a little sloppy sometimes. Barely being a tax team is super dumb if you are staring at the repeater tax in two years to keep your team together.

If only DL could dictate everything and the players simply had to agree.

Having Caris would likely not have changed their ultimate fortune as a lotto team... they got Oladipo because they thought he'd help them... not to tank. Having Caris likely nets them at least one more first rounder for trading their former MVP.

They dumb AF... if they luck into something good it does not change the fact they dumb AF.
