Lakers and warriors want Phoenix I bet.
The Lakers match up better with the Suns than the Warriors do, but the Warriors match up better with the Jazz than the Lakers do IMO.

Almost wondering if the Warriors would intentionally tank on Wednesday to get a series with the Jazz.

Nah, nobody is going to intentionally tank a play-in game.

Not to mention, in the past week the Warriors beat the full-strength Suns by a wider margin than they beat the Conley/Mitchell-less Jazz.

Still kinda sucks that the Clippers courageously tanked to our side of the bracket - the Nuggets w/o Murray would've been the easier 2nd round matchup.

But beating the Clippers will probably be more enjoyable, so there's that.
Agreed on all accounts.
Really hoping for the warriors in round one at this point.
Would have been nice to get the nuggets next but oh well.

Well for one, in each of our games against them at full strength over the last two seasons, we have posted elite offensive ratings of 124.8, 117.7, and 115.8.

Maybe they'll step it up in the playoffs. But that sure wasn't the case last year, where their defense in the playoffs last year was terrible.

Maybe they're a different team this season. But their defense was quite a bit worse this year than last - by 4 pts per 100 possessions. Despite the fact that Paul George and Kawhi Leonard each missed a larger proportion of last season than this one.
I’m not alone in thinking that their defense is better than the stats.

And, besides that, they play a (overly) physical, switching style..... which is something we’ve struggled against.

My play-in guess:

LAL > GSW for #7 seed
MEM > SAS for #9 seed
GSW > MEM for #8 seed

Yeah, not groundbreaking and most would vote that way. I'd love for the Spurs to win two in a row but that ain't happening.
Let’s hope for a Spurs upset of the Grizzlies, because based on what I saw in their match-up yesterday, Memphis has zero chance against Golden State.

Not one mention of us on ESPN.com but Nets locked in the 2 seed, Knicks clinched the 4 seed, Wizards lock the 8 seed, and Morris apologized to Luka.

WE NEED TO BRING THE NOISE, With 13 plus thousand people screaming at home, these teams wont handle it well because they have been playing to a few scragglers and cardboard cutouts. lets use this homecourt advantage to get this franchise a title and make the media shake our hands with a fake smile as we get the ship

The only teams that scare me in the West are the Lakers and Suns, and hopefully, both of them will be on the opposite side of the bracket.

I'm worried about how we'd score against them, and on the other end CP3 gives Gobert real trouble. I'm not worried at all about being able to score against the Clippers, and Gobert is a bad matchup for them.
If you don’t fear the Clips defense, then have a listen to Locke’s show today. If you put their healthy playoff roster on the floor, the filtered stats show and absolutely elite defense. An elite offense, too.

Nobody should sleep on the Clippers.

My thing is, the Clippers really can't counter Gobert as effectively as the Lakers/Suns/Nuggets. We have fared well against them at full strength the last couple seasons - their one win post-Clarkson trade, we got them into the shot profile we wanted, and they honestly just shot an unsustainably high percentage from mid-range.
