Blame yourself?

The Thriller

Interesting, how those who preach the most about "being accountable" and not "blaming others for the consequences of your decisions" are the quickest to use "outside sources" as an excuse...

A third woman who used to work for the National Restaurant Association told the Associated Press that she considered filing a complaint against Herman Cain over what she described as "aggressive and unwanted behavior."

The AP story says such behavior included a "private invitation" to his corporate apartment.
She also described instances in which Cain told her that he had told other trade group colleagues how attractive she was.

The woman spoke to AP on condition of anonymity, fearing retaliation from Cain. The incidents the third woman described occurred about the same time two of her co-workers settled separate sexual harassment claims against Cain,

He began the day speaking to business leaders at the Northern Virginia Technology Council, and made a reference to forces that are trying to "destroy" him. Cain vowed he would survive the onslaught.

"There are factions that are trying to destroy me personally as well as destroy this campaign," Cain said.

Herman Cain is a loud mouth. I guess we'll see how far this rabbit hole goes, but to me there hasn't been anything unexpected beyond what you would expect from a loudmouth working in the business world around a lot of people that has come out yet.

So are you saying that he is wrong and they are not trying to destroy his campaign? If not, what is the motivation? By your comment it is pretty clear you have judged him guilty. Did you feel the same way about the same accusations against Clinton in 91/92 campaign? By all accounts this is very similar.

FWIW I agree with kicky. That is not a deciding factor for me in whether or not Cain would be a good candidate for president.

Maybe. Maybe not. But I'd watch closely how he handles these accusations. So far not so good - changing his stories around, playing the race card of all things.....

Most of all watch him in front of reporters as this story gains momentum - this guy clearly can't take the heat.

Did I feel that Clinton was guilty? Absolutely!

Do I find it hilarious that this man is blaming "outside forces" from racism to liberal media for bringing this up? Absolutely!

It's convenient to just use the "liberal media" card anytime anything ugly that you don't want to talk about comes up.

Maybe it's unjust to bring up something that happened a decade ago. But how just was it for this man just a few weeks ago express complete and utter insensitivity by essentially calling many Americans as lazy and complainers? Remember, if you're not rich and don't have a job, blame yourself!

My message to Herman? Stop blaming the liberal media and racists, BLAME YOURSELF.

I think it's key how he reacts to this story. Not so good so far. He's acted arrogant, guilty, embarrassed, and has shown a short fuse as he just barely had an ugly incident with the media while meeting with doctors.

If he feels like being President is a bed of roses, he's got another thing coming.

So I think it's key to see how his campaign treats this issue. How he reacts to it.

Playing the race card and then the typical GOP wild card of "liberal media" is 100x more hilarious to me because of his previous comments about personal accountability just a few weeks ago.

I think you raise some good points. He isn't handling it well at all. But really he is a newbie to this kind of thing and there are more than a few issues the guy has handled, let's say, strangely. Not the least of which was the electric fence comment, which I find far more disturbing than this whole thing.

Didn't say the idea bugged me, just how he presented it. :)

LG prefers power point really. With cool effects and shadows.Maybe even throw in a cool clip from youtube

Bingo. Some nice mocked-up effects of people frying as they came over the fence. That would Jazz it up some. ;)

I heard this on NPR today so I found it in print. Sounded funny to me.

"I actually did it because I wanted to help him. I wanted to give him a platform to come clean, to tell the truth," Bialek said Tuesday on CBS' "The Early Show." "And he still hasn't done it and it's really a shame because he could have."

If she wanted to help him, wouldn't it have helped more to let a 20-year-old issue lie dead? Especially one they supposedly signed non-disclosure agreements about? I just thought this sounded very disingenuous.

Yeah the last time I wanted to help my buddy I brought up all the details about that crazy nympho woman he lived with for three months 15 years ago, and I did it while out with him and his new fiance. It was to give him a platform to come clean to his fiance of course, cuz I am so helpful and care about him so much that I figured since he hadn't mentioned it, I better. Just trying to help of course.

Weird.

Did she mention the paternity suit she filed against a company exec and lost?
