Again, if you're a little bitch and you're afraid of an mRNA vaccine because you spend too much time on facebook getting stupid then get the J&J vaccine.

If you're too scared for that then you are a massive *****. You probably should never leave your house again because you're so scared of the most safe stuff. You would never be able to be in the U.S. Military because you actually have to be brave enough to get vaccines to serve in the military. I got Pfizer because my wife told our primary doctor already in january that we should get it as early as possible after doctors, risk groups etc should we get the opportunity. In reality it was in april. So far no side effects. Would not travel to India or Brazil in the near future.

However, i guess that there are plenty of educated persons including doctors who freak out of other stuff. A la there is no SCIENTIFIC reason to be afraid of non poisonous snakes or spiders should somebody put them in your bed. Or are afraid of flights or some other phobia. Or state that it is safe to climb K2 in winter (compared to COVID). Should we constantly bash those people whenever possible? We have too much hate flowing around anyway and LOUDLY bashing antivaxxers is not making the world better. Thanks to Facebook i have at least some info to avoid the active ones.

Regarding the military - thank god the young guys in my country and those in your country who helped to get independence in my country or freedom from the attackers did not had the wussy kind of attitude in a style "no vaccines, no protection (good air support or heavy armor - scr*w you, i am not going to either Midway, Leyte or France or near Russia because there is not enough protection". I hope you are not stating that a rookie vaccinated guy is better in military conflict to provide protection than a skilled non vaccinated sergeant/squad leader with lot of experience?

I don't think anyone should be forced to get vaccinated - it's a personal choice and your body is your temple. No amount of begging, pleading or shaming is going to change that and those heels are very well dug-in.

That being said, getting the vaccine was a no-brainer for me. It went through clinical trials, has a high success rate and even though long-term effects are unknown, the short-term effects of Covid are very well documented and the long-term effects are likely to outweigh those from any vaccine.

Community health was made into a political issue in 2020 by certain dingbats and that cat's never going back into the bag. A shame really - we'd have a lot less empty chairs at kitchen tables if we would have been able to look beyond ourselves and our trivial lives in favor of the greater good.

I’m retired USAF and am disappointed to hear the COVID vaccine is NOT mandatory for the military—last I heard less than half the military has had at least one shot—WTF? At the risk of going full boomer, even flu shots were mandatory when I was in, plus numerous other immunizations. Make it mandatory and give folks 30 days to get vaccinated. If they don’t comply walk them out the gate and take their ID card.

The debate over vaccinating children is not settled yet, with proper dosing for children being a central concern. The preliminary data shows the mRNA vaccines are 100% effective for kids, but that 100% effectiveness may imply the kids are receiving more medication than they need.

There is some concern of the mRNA vaccines causing Acute Myocarditis in adolescents. It is serious enough the FDA is convening an emergency meeting to discuss keeping the emergency use authorization in place for adolescents.

It is possible the risk of adolescents developing Acute Myocarditis could be reduced by lowering the dosage of vaccine being given. Children without comorbidities are at almost no risk of serious complications developing from a COVID infection. There is a real possibility that little children could be at a greater risk from the vaccine at the adult dose than they would be without any vaccine at all.

If you are over the age of 20, then go get a vaccine. It is only a matter of time before you will be exposed to covid at some point and the risk of something serious happening to people over 20 is far higher from a covid infection than anything you could get from the vaccine. That said, if you are a healthy teenager or thinking about getting your healthy little children vaccinated against covid, it isn’t crazy to want to wait a few months to see more information to properly assess risk.

While I understand the concern regarding complications for adolescents or younger kids, the fact is that those who don't get vaccinated give life to prolonging the Pandemic. I read a statistic today, though I'm sure it applies to global numbers, that more people have died already in 2021 from COVID than the entire year of 2020. I think even scientists are wary and uncertain about what the virus could evolve into -- because I believe it was created in a bioweapons lab and someone screwed up and accidentally released it, which is why the very slim chance of a serious side effect does not warrant the irrational refusal to get the vaccine. No one I know has had any side effect more serious than a sore arm.

Just asking a question here first. How many labs in the world can do PCR tests? How many research groups are tracking Covid 19 How many tests are being run on the people who have the various shots to check on viral inclusions into human DNA or RNA ?
