Conley hamstringing again

I think my perception is warped, and unfairly so, by the Stockton & Malone Jazz. It's unfathomable to me that neither would not chance it and play. Unless Conley literally can't, and if that's the case, it's not mild and he's not questionable, I just don't get how you don't knowing the end-game here is not only losing out on his best chance at a NBA title - but doing so with a franchise who's never won it.

And yes, I know Malone missed a Finals game his final year due to injury but that goes to my point: if it's mild, he needs to play. If it's worse than it is, and he can't play, the team is doing him a disservice by calling it minor and keeping him questionable.
MacMahon on Spence’s show just said “no matter how mild it may be a hamstring isn’t something you chance.” And based off things he’s heard and how long hamstrings usually take to heal he’d be surprised or pleasantly surprised to see him play tomorrow night.

Here's you're catch 22 for tonight: if Harden plays and is healthy, Nets have better chance of advancing to finals. If Harden plays and gets hurt, their chances of advancing to the finals are significantly shot, as are ours, because there's no way we'd watch that and not decide to shut Conley down longer.
If Harden doesn't play, and the Nets go down 3-2 heading back to Milwaukee for a must-win game six, you're pretty much looking at the same scenario as playing him and him getting hurt further.

The Nets are also missing Kyrie for the rest of the series, so, that's a double-blow.

Harden going is likely because they realize they can't beat the Bucks without him. If he further injures his hamstring, it sucks but the end result likely isn't going to be much better for them if he sits.

If it's mild as they're saying, absolutely he needs to play. If he can't play after two weeks, it's not mild and they're lying to us.
Hamstring injuries just aren’t that easy. Soft tissue takes time to heal. It can go from mild to severe in one game. And it’s pretty obvious this is a chronic issue he has that has never gotten fully right.

So MacMahon’s opinion is about as good as anyone on this forum, and informed wholly on his own opinion of hamstrings and not for his sources. Got it.

Then it's not a mild hamstring issue and the Jazz is leading people on with this questionable ********.

I hate that you are right.

No, he literally said “based off things I’ve heard” as well. And yes MacMahon ha s proven to have some “ins” as far as sources go with the Jazz.

What I’m saying is that either way, it’s paradoxical for us a Jazz fans. Scenarios that hurt the Nets also hurt us (because we’d sit Mike), and scenarios that help the Nets (them winning and Harden surviving) are bad for us because we’d see them in the finals.

It's easy enough to keep listing him as questionable two weeks after the tweak. If it's that severe, they need to stop with the ******** and just say Conley is out. It's not ****ing hard.

At least then we could stop pretending the Jazz has a chance of winning this or that they're playing 4D chess here and keeping him out until he is needed. This is the most ridiculous, pathetic ****ed up injury handling I've seen and it's indefensible.

So there’s no real rooting guide for the Nets tonight, other than hoping they lose while Harden looks amazing.

I would be okay with that I guess ... as long as our guys know what it is... having the ghost of Mike Conley hang out there likely causes a little stress for the clips coaches at least.

I have a friend that works for the Jazz. I never really talk about it because people wouldn't believe me anyway, but I always try to be a straight shooter, but take it for what it is worth.

My friend told me that Conley thought he'd be playing since game 1 and feels good. If this is true, what the hell is our training staff doing?

Again, don't take my word for it, but I anticipate this will leak out everywhere soon.
