Chicago Sun-Times report

Before Davis committed to Kentucky, the Chicago Sun-Times reported that his father, Anthony Davis, Sr. asked Kentucky for $200,000 for a commitment from his son.[7] The article was pulled from the website soon after it was published, but was reposted on the Sun-Times' website a few days later.[8] The University of Kentucky and the Davis family have both threatened to sue the Sun-Times over the article.[9][10] However, no lawsuits have been filed by Kentucky or the Davis family. According to the Sun-Times reporter responsible for the article, three other anonymous university coaches told the newspaper that Davis Sr. asked them for money for his son's commitment, with the dollar amounts ranging from $125,000–$150,000.[11]

...I'll help you get this thread back to normal...

I know you haven't been totally sold on Teague or whatever up to this point, but seeing as how the Jazz need a PG and we may have the chance to draft him, what are your feelings on Teague after getting to see him play a little more? How does he compare to where Knight was at this stage?

Better, I think. Knight was great with his work ethic and his outside threat. Teague is a dynamite defender, is 100x more explosive (first step .. which I believe is crucial), and he DOES NOT turn the ball over. He's the best ball handler of all of Cal's guards. He is the best PnR player. He also is less confident than the other guys .. so we may see the most marked improvement by Marquis over the other guys. I'm still cautious, but he's showing some definite elite playability. Did I mention Kidd-Gilchrist is going to shut the doubters (the hell) up? :)

Very interesting. An explosive young PG who distributes and defends at an elite level? Sounds like exactly what this rebuild project needs.

Oh, and I lol'd at the Gilchrist comment. I'm dying to see these guys play. Unfortunately, I will probably be busy during the game Friday...why did God make me attracted to basketball AND women!? WHY!?
